Random thoughts on a brilliantly sunny Saturday:
1. Can you tell me your favorite healthy low-calorie snack you can take with you on-the-go?
2. I went into Dallas for dinner on Thursday with some of my favorite people and when my friend and I were driving home we got caught in the hail storm. It was so scary. We had to pull over and hide the car under a tree until the storm passed.
3. The baby birds that were born in the wreath on our front window have flown the nest. One minute they were eating worms and the next minute they are soaring in the blue sky.
4. It was a good week on the blog. We discussed
- the new before and after office makeover
- how to cover a closet without doors
- how to paint plywood floors

5. I rewatched North and South (the mini-series) this week on PBS. If you like British historical dramas, it’s a good one.
And now?
Let’s see all the amazing stuff I found for us this week.

Hi KariAnne! You have the sunshine and we woke up to 2" of snow on my new patio cushions from Homegoods! Date night was driving to 3 Homegoods to find an outdoor rug! ha! Okay silly question, but does PBS have a streaming service or is this old-school PBS on cable? We watch so little cable that if it wasn't for Hallmark and CU football we would ditch it! Okay I am still thinking about your office! I plan to work on mine this weekend since we have 2" of sloppy snow! Happy Day friend!
You can stream PBS. We have PBS Passport, which we stream via Roku--if you make a donation to PBS, Passport is a perk that you can take advantage of. I don't remember the cost but it's nominal--maybe $60/year? You have access to a much larger library than you otherwise would.
It took me awhile to get through everything today--so much eye candy. I went down a rabbit hole with the Inspiredbycharm charcuterie wreath, and now I'm contemplating serving charcuterie cups at my daughter's graduation open house in a year. Enjoy your sunshine, KariAnne. We are in for a chilly weekend.
What a great post. Loved the centerpiece story, I am continuously making fresh flower center pieces. The house tour was very pretty too. I hope you enjoy your Saturday.
KariAnne, Happy Saturday! Always so much inspiration in one place. Thanks for all your shares.
healthy snack - for years when going on a day trip I always pack apple slices and reduced fat cheez-its. Ok laugh, but when riding around looking for the bet place to eat, No one laughs when i pull out my snack, also helps me not to overload at lunch. not to mention perfect if traveling with kids and grandma!
Happy you didnt paint dads desk! Snack for me, bell peppers, variety of colors with homemade ranch dressing. Apple and an ounce of cheese. What are yours?
Best snacks ever are Raincoast Crisps in any flavor, seedy and nutty and great ingredients, little Bonbel cheeses and sliced apples!
I live in Shawnee Okla. and it is terrible here where people were hit by that tornado but not in my area. This post gave me a break from it all, to see all these lovely things. Thanks, Karianne what a blessing you are.
I loved the house tour and the summer cabin!! Thank you!! xoxo
What wonderful thistles this week, KA! I loved her spring centerpieces, and that house tour is stunning. Those painted hutches were great, too. Thanks for sharing so many goodies!
Hi KariAnne- hmm I don’t have a low calorie snack to offer but I do bring nuts and or cheese with me on car rides since protein seems to satiate me. I also have a bottle of water. Love your office makeover. Thank you for sharing all the inspiration.
Always full of inspiration! Happy Sunday!
