Happy random Saturday to you.
And now for today’s Fashion Public Service Announcement: Have you seen the new sweaters that everyone is wearing that have the lace at the bottom?
You know.
The amazing ones.
Did you know you can buy a shirt with lace at the bottom and layer it? I saw them yesterday when we were shopping and had a fashion light bulb moment.
Seriously.
And if you are a fashionista just humor me….
….and act like this is news to you, too. 🙂
I’m all about a little buffalo check.
Or a giant buffalo check like these amazing curtains from Marion.
You can see the entire guest room here.
It’s totally worth a click.
There are days when I think I’m brilliant.
And then I see something like this and realize the universe is full of way more brilliant people than I ever thought about being.
It’s a canvas tote that she built herself.
Look what Santa brought Jaime for Christmas.
Her kitchen renovation is amazing.
Dark wood floors and subway tiles and an amazing light fixture.
Yes, please.
Are you picking a word of the year for 2015?
Make it into art.
My Sweet Savannah has the tutorial here.
And in other random news this week:
These are perfect for New Year’s Eve.
Clever gift idea.
These look delicious.
This made me smile.
And I’m going to read more in 2015. I’ve pinky promised myself.
And I’m starting with this list.
And one more for the road.
If you have twigs you can make this wreath.
Pinky promise.
Happy random Saturday to you.
KariAnne, Thank you for the link on books, I saved it. I read on my kindle likes it going out of style! christine
The giraffes me me smile, AND the curtains gave, me case of the ^I want^ that.
I read the book list, a little too high brow for me. May I suggest "Dandelion Wine", its a classic coming of age story that I have read @ least a 1/2 dozen times. When I'm done I leave it @ a restaurant or on a bench for someone else to find and enjoy. Thanks for sharing your life with us :)
I love the twig wreath. I have an old grape wreath vine that has sad looking lillies-of-the-valley stuck here and there so I planned to throw it away. Well, I've been inspired to just throw away the flowers and spray the wreath white :-) And I think my word for the year will be --TA DA!! -Becoming. Yep I signed up for the class and I talked my daughter into doing it also. I may also talk to my daughter-in-law who is pregnant with my next grandson :-) And as far as books go - I read constantly- anything my eyes light on. But as any deep novels, I haven't read anything unless Scott Kelby's books on photography counts. And I missed the sweater with the lace on the bottom - or the shirt. I guess I've been living in a cave -- oh wait! I live in Indiana. Maybe that's it. Have a wonderful day!
Ooh love the buffalo check and am searching for the right color for my master bedroom redo - red might be it. You got me at the first - shirts with lace at the bottom, Where????? That was news to me. Thanks.
This is a great random Saturday post! I don't have a lace-bottomed sweater, but they ARE cute. I love Miss Mustard Seed's guest room (even before the buffalo checked curtains) and your twig wreath is adorable. How did I miss that the first time around???
Love Thistlekeeping. Hope it continues in 2015. I plan to read more novels, buy navy buffalo checked drapes, and read your fashion tips for I have not purchased anything with lace on its bottom.
I don't see how you are going to read more books. You do have 4 kiddos, a husband, a house to run, this blog---oh wait, I forgot---YOU'RE A ROCK STAR!!! (Just don't spread yourself too thin.)
Thanks so much for featuring my newly renovated kitchen, Karianne! Luv ya ;) Hugs, Jamie
KariAnne, you have no idea how many times I have to stop myself from wishing I were you! So enjoy everything you do! Happy New Year!! Theda : ) (PS: I really am happy being me!)
Karianne such a treat for a quiet Saturday! Thank you for featuring my canvas totes - clearly my teeny tiny photo sizing is no good ;) and definitely something to work on. Happy New Year's!
Oh what a great post
Thanks for including me in the round-up! I'm loving that wall tile as well. Wow!
how cute, never thought about layering a lace trimmed sweater! I keep looking at them online...what would you wear under? button up? tee? maybe you should buy one and style it for us!! happy Random Saturday!
A while back I saw a sweater with the lovely lace on the bottom - loved it. But, I didn't buy it - I'm supposed to be buying for others, right! Love anything girly and lacy - no matter how old I get ;) I'm looking forward to what 2015 has to offer - I hope you had a blessed Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! Kathy
Since my one daughter's a teen fashionista and keeps me and her older sister straight I did know about the cute lacey or flowy material sweater bottoms. Really cute. Love buffalo check and the guest room. Love the links for fun. Thanks for th share. Happy Slow Restful Sunday to you and yours! Linda
....and this is why we love you Kari Anne!
Love the checks! I buy the "old man" t-shirts or tanks, stretchy white and sew lace or petticoat material on the bottom!! Gives the impression of lace but actually keeps you warm:) In Indiana, we need all the warmth we can get!! Happy New Year to you and your family!!
Love your stuff! Buffalo check for life, ha. You should join my link party, https://www.carissamiss.com/2015/01/outside-box-no-17.html Thanks!
