Random thoughts on a chilly December morning:
1. I modeled at Talbots this week. Can you even believe it? It was so much fun and the outfits were super cute and I brought my new favorite top home with me.
It’s a t-shirt just waiting for a party.
2. Today is our town’s Tour of Homes. We are going early for brunch with friends and then bundling up in 40 degree temperatures to tour all the cute homes in the neighborhood.
3. CONGRATULATIONS to the USA soccer team to make it out of the first round of the World Cup. Good luck this morning.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We discussed:
- these outdoor Christmas decorating ideas
- this nutcracker Christmas bedroom
- how to decorate a staircase for Christmas
- how to choose a Christmas theme for your home
5. Are you watching Christmas movies? Have you seen “A Royal Christmas” yet? It was just on and it’s so sweet. I love anything with a castle and a small nation that no one has ever heard of with a Prince who needs a wife.
And now?
Grab a cup of something and join me.
I have tons of ideas and inspiration that I found this week for all of us.

Good morning and thank you for featuring my Christmas DIY today! I'm always honored to be included. What a lovely way to start the weekend!
Happy Saturday, KariAnne!! Thank you so much for sharing my house ornament DIY today!! I appreciate you!! I love all the fantastic ideas here!!
So wonderful to catch up. I havent had the chance this week. How did you ever get a model gig? That sounds so fun. Enjoy Saturday. Our winds are 30mph cold and cloudy. Thank you again.
Hi, KariAnne! Happy Saturday to you, too! Please tell me where to find that beautiful wreath at the top of your post today. I am smitten! Thank you so much! Claire G McKinney
Awww, thank you friend for sharing my Christmas village!! You are chilly down in Texas and it’s almost 60° today in New England!
So many Christmasy things to inspire! Thank you, KariAnne! I hope your festivities and home tours bring a wide smile to your face. Enjoy! I'm swooooooning over the beautiful home tour of old world charm. Oh my! That kitchen is one I have pinned several times on Pintetest. The entire house needs to be pinned!!🤣
KariAnne It’s hard to believe it’s December! Loved all you shared.
So many fun shares! Enjoy your home tour day and stay warm! I'm sure 40 is very cold for you! 💙
Happy Saturday! Loved all the inspiration this morning…Thistlekeeping always brightens my Saturday.
The European Kitchen tour! Be still my heart. I'm trying to figure out how to decorate with less. The SLED! The Mason Jar gift ideas! My goodness KariAnne, I don't know where to start first. Thanks so much!
Talbots? And you probably thought you were too short to be a model. <3 Mason jar gifts are always fun. Thanks for all the inspiration. Bless your weekend.
I always enjoy your blog. I would like to know where I can find the wreath at the top of the page. Thank you.
Ahh .... I want to move into the European kitchen house .... and take the toile sled with me. I love the wreath that you featured at the top--the ribbon looks like wool plaid. I'm feeling cozy right now after all of this Thistlekeeping. :)
My favorite Christmas movie is : ONE SPECIAL NIGHT starring Julie Andrews and James Garner. Who doesn't love both of them? I watch this movie every year!
GREAT thistles, KA! And grats on your modeling for Talbots. My civic women's club works with them in the spring and have done many fashion shows during out Spring Fling Brunch event. Nice stuff. Says a lot about your weight loss - looking and feeling (and being able to wear) super cute Talbot's clothes. I am happy for you. Love that blingy tee! My son-in-law (a British citizen living in US) is the biggest World Cup fan I know personally. It was quite fun my eldest daughter and he being the ONLY ones rooting for the UK earlier, wearing their jerseys purchased on one of their many many trips across the pond. Now they still aren't rooting for the US- today is the Dutch. Such traitors lol. I just returned from 10 days at the beach in Florida and when we got home it was 19 freaking degrees. BRRRR, baby it's COLD outside! Happy blessed Advent season.
Bundling up at 40 degrees?🤣🤣🤣 How about visiting MN… I am ready your blog with sweats on and two blankets. Yes we have heat on but it’s only 11 degrees and but feels like -10. What a warm start to a long winter🥶 Todays post helps to tolerate the chill.
Would you mind posting a source for the ribbon on the wreath at the top of the page?
Did The Royal Christmas involve corgis? Or is there another royal Christmas movie I need to look for? Lol
Hi, Kari Ann! I, too, love the wreath and the bow at the top of this post. Could you share where you got both? I live around the corner from you so I can shop if it’s local! Thanks.
