Random thoughts on a chilly fall Saturday football morning:
1. Today is the LAST day to get the “Holidays At Home” E-book bundle. It is AMAZING. 27 individual e-books with recipes and printables and entertaining ideas and tons of decorating ideas for the holidays.
It’s a $600 value for only $49.
You can see more about it here.
2. If you are local? Guess what? Leslie from My Hundred-Year-Old Home is coming to my house this week for a book signing and you are invited. There will be food and fun and friends and it’s FREE.
You can see all the details here.
3. How often do you wash your hair? I’ve gone to once a week and it makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE. My hair is healthier and better than it’s ever been.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We discussed:
- how to paint curtains
- 21 ideas for decorating with pinecones
- this part of my love story
- the biggest fall porch decorating mistake
5. I’m rewatching Larkrise to Candleford. If you’ve never seen it, it’s the best show about two small towns in England at the turn of the century. It’s so charming.
And now?
Let’s see all the fun finds I’ve discovered for us this week.
It was a good one.
LET’S GO.

Are you still doing “what I bought Wednesday”?
Happy fall morning! You mentioned Waco/Magnolia… which made me think… you and Joanna Gaines! Now that’s a match made in heaven!!! Any thoughts of a collaboration of 2 great bundles of creativity/energy and love?
Thank you friend for the share! I loved the painted pears!!
Had to save the gnome ornament creation..so cute!!! Who knew I didn't have to know how to knit! I hope to make some before the holidays...would make a great package decor to gift to a friend. I hope your getting lots of interest in your bundle deal. It sounds great! Wish I could. My rescue pup has cost a bit this year more..maybe next year:0) Hand pies? Now that I will save too...they look so very tasty!
Super fun lineup. I especially love the yarn gnomes and the chicken wire mantel idea (I didn't expect to like that one, but it's brilliant!). In answer to your question, I can't stand to go more than 3 or 4 days without washing my hair. I'm not sure there's a "one size fits all" approach to the frequency of hair washing. We all have different skin types, hair textures, activity levels, environments, and so on. I do enjoy the time I save on my non-wash days but my hairstyles generally look best on the day that I shampoo.
It feels like a fall soup day where I am too....rainy, cloudy, and cool. It feels so cozy. I love the easy sprayed fruit and gold stem idea you linked! It would go perfect with some porcelain looking white leaves I made. Thank you! I remember being in the shop on Bosque when my daughter was living in Waco. It's a fun place and dangerous as far as finding way too many cute items! Thanks for the autumn inspiration. I'm crafting now to alleviate the mad rush in Nov. and Dec. :) I've extended my hair washing to two or three days. I can't go a week as I exercise 5 to 6 days a week and it just gets too sweaty and any amount of dry shampoo just doesn't fully help. But, even the two to three day spread has made a difference and it sure is a time saver! Happy fall day, friend!
GREAT Thistles, KA! Only wash my very long hair once a week - unless something important happens in between. Loved Larkrise - I'd watch again, truly charming indeed. Loved Lucy's painted cheap plastic fruit. Great idea. Take care and have a fabulous remainder of your weekend. Sure wish I was a local to pop over for that book signing!
Happy Saturday KariAnne! I loved that porch ceiling. Wow.
Here in Ohio it was so called this morning it hurt. Lol Nice post, thank you. I will sit down and open each link with my morning coffee tomorrow. Go Bucks in your game today.
Lots of goodies and those Gnomes were so cute. I also watch Larkrise it's a wonderful show.
Oh how I wish I lived closer so I could come to your beautiful home, meet you and Leslie and be there for her book signing! Have the best time!
Sorry to have to ask this here - but I really cannot determine how to search for the BUNDLE I purchased, but did not receive. I've checked my spam, looked through my emails (But then, I do have LOTS), and haven't found anything! Can you help me, or at least give me a way to check on this by another method? Thanks - I love knowing you are a Texas girl, too!
I loved Larkrise to Candleford!!! xoxo
I love the painted plastic fruit. Genius ! I wish I was local and could attend the book signing. Have a fabulous time.
