Random thoughts on a cloudy chilly Saturday morning:

1. We went to Waco yesterday to watch the SING performance at Waco. Zack was on the front row dressed up as a gold miner. He danced his heart out and his fraternity placed in the top 8.

I’ve never seen a cuter gold miner in my entire life.

(total aside: he is rolling his eyes right now)

2. I bought these jeans with a ruffle on the bottom of them and posted them on my Facebook page. Apparently, the world does NOT like jeans with ruffles.

Yikes.

You should have read the anti-ruffle comments I got. 🙂

In my defense, the jeans are long on me because I’m so short and I’m not going to wear tennis shoes with them.

3. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about 25 ways to update your home in 2022 and how to host a charcuterie party and 10 ways to organize your home with vintage finds.

And I shared my heart with the song that hope wrote.

4. We are going to a wedding in Newport, Rhode Island next month and I’m on the search for a fancy dress for that and for Easter. I’ll share some of my finds next week.

And now?

Here are some of my favorite finds from this week.

This is such a fun listing of happy! I'm in love with the decoupage eggs and will try my hand at them next week. Can you tell me about the company selling the ruffled jeans. Have you ordered from them and are they good size wise? They have some great clothes for those of us on a budget.

Personally I like the ruffled jeans!! I don't choose my wardrobe based on what others think. I simply wear what makes me feel happy. You wear those ruffles if they make you happy!!!

Your new ruffled jeans are cute. On me, 5’10’, they would be knickers. And not the British kind! Thanks for making me giggle every Saturday!

Will the dress you wear to the wedding be ruffled? 😆 Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm not big on ruffles but they are super popular this season, so if it's your thing, go for it! If we all dressed alike and decorated our homes alike, how boring would that be? Transitioning to other topics--the welcome mat IS cute--there was a bird one by the same seller that I liked even more. Wasn't that expanding cabin jaw-dropping? What an amazing brain to think that up. The painted Easter eggs made me sigh. So pretty. And personally, I will always have at least 1 pair of skinny jeans, especially in fall/winter--they are flattering AND tuck well into boots. And now I'm off to finish decorating for spring. I'm so over winter! Happy almost spring!

Certain styles fit some better than others. I ran a french store for years and I wore cropped black pants with black top and flats every day..some with flared sweet legs...cute on me but maybe not for some..and I loved them!! I think, my opinion for whatever that matters..Lol!!...those ruffled jeans fit your personality and are so cute! Even if you didn't wear heels...some people can pull of a look that others can't...we all know our bodies and styles..you go girl! I have nobody to make Easter eggs or a table spread for but I do love seeing what others are doing for Easter. Happy post..thank you:0)

I'm not sure why anyone would care what others think especially on Facebook or Twitter, but I think the jean is very cute. Rock the jeans KariAnne and don't forget to smile like always.

I’ll just bet with a cute pair of sandals, those ruffled jeans will look fabulous on you!!! I don’t wear what stylists, Hollywood or the runway models think is fashion. I wear what I like…. And so should you. As for skinny jeans, they are great with boots and slip on sandals… be happy!

KariAnne, thank you for sharing so many lovely things this Saturday! Those hand painted Easter eggs are so beautiful -- I saw those earlier this week and fell in love!! And thank you so much for including my orchid post in your roundup this week! I appreciate you so very much!!

Something tells me you’re going to wear those jeans because at the end of the day, you don’t find your worth in what others think about your style & if they make you happy, by all means, wear them with confidence. Personally, I don’t get why people care enough to post something negative. I only ever comment when something makes me happy, catches my eye, or gives me a great idea to run with & I want to thank the writer!!! Love your blog, enjoy your writing, have “copied” a few ideas, baked those amazing snickerdoodles & have passed your blog site on to many!! Keep being you! Happy Saturday!!

Ruffled jeans? Just donated a blue jean jacket because it had ruffles. Lol. But as my mom would say if she was here (oh how I wish she were) too each his own. But I love the post, ruffles and all.

KariAnne I love your blog. I know you must have your ups and downs like the rest of us, but you don’t show it. You are always so positive and fun! You mentioned Zach being in a fraternity. I didn’t realize that you have three kids in college. Or is it four? Is your oldest son in college too?

Great thistles this week, KA! I swooned over the home office renovation. Just wowed me. I think those ruffled jeans are cute and would look cute only on a shorter gal - kind of goes with the girl-next-door look. Wear them with pride, seriously. You do you, boo. And you always do cute. ♥
