Random thoughts on an ice-covered tree snowy Saturday morning:
1. Just in case I hadn’t mentioned it 29 times? It’s snowing in Texas
And my toes are freezing.
2. Sharing another “What I Bought Wednesday” on my YouTube channel this week with some incredible finds including magazines for 90% off.
You can see it here.
3. Please tell me you are watching The Gilded Age. It is so amazing and my mother and I are both hooked.
Also, All Creatures Great and Small is so sweet, too.
4. It was an incredible week on the blog. We reimagined terra cotta pots to look like this and 9 Valentine’s Day ideas and talked about the secret to organizing any room and these 8 simple winter projects.
5. We are almost done with the bedroom upstairs and the floor is done. The front part is now a closet and dressing area and we’ve rearranged everything and I’m SO HAPPY with it.
I’m sharing everything (including the best tip to hang curtains with grommets).
6. Some of my sweetest blogging friends started a link party this week that’s full of inspiration.

Karianne, there are so many wonderful ideas here!! Thank you so much for sharing my DIY pillow post!! I’m honored!!❤️
I cannot wait for the garage (yard) sale season! Enjoy the snow! You should decorate a room for Christmas with the snow in the background ;0) PS I pinned the cookies and that backyard inspo photo! laura in Colorado
So many amazing ideas! Those cookies look delicious ... and I can't wait to see your bedroom makeover!!! It's going to be absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful ideas and beautiful pictures. I live outside of Troy, NY and got to see some of the filming of The Guilded Age last June. They covered a few streets with dirt and there were horses waiting in trailers. Many storefronts had a makeover with old signs....it was so interesting.
I truly enjoyed clicking through all of these amazing posts! I always learn something new! Thank you for sharing my lavender sachets! Have a great weekend! Stay warm!
So many great finds. Thank you so much for sharing our Link Party. I’m so grateful for you. Hugs and blessings to you
I keep seeing posts that many are watching the Gilded Age so I now have it written down and will search for it. I traded Sirius XM radio for Netflix so I don't see too much tv these days. Your home inspiration KariAnne is just that inspiring! I've saved many ideas and made notes. I wish someone in our area would make a list of yard sales, flea markets or vintage sales so I could plan. It's so random and few in between in our area.
Do you have fuzzy warm socks AND slippers on? That's the best way to cope with chilly feet. Oh, and a corn/rice bag tucked by your feet in bed is also helpful. As for the shelves vs cupboards debate, I'm a fan of glass front cabinets. I have some built-in shelves in my dining area and unless you use the stuff all the time, it gets dusty and tacky. Glass front cabinets combine an open feeling without the dirt factor--the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the creative Valentine's cookies--fun idea! I recently bought Sweet Sugarbelle Cookie Icing Bottles from Amazon. I saw them on inspiredbycharm.com and they are wonderful if you want to decorate cookies but hate messing with bags. My daughter and I had fun decorating Valentine's cookies earlier this week and for a first try, I was pretty impressed with our efforts. The kitchen you featured was very pretty (I would say that, since the color scheme is similar to mine, although my kitchen is MUCH smaller) as well as the table re-make. Extra fun ideas this week, Karianne!
I always look forward to your Thistlekeeping posts KariAnne. It's a fun Saturday ritual. I can't thank you enough for featuring my garden trends post. It means the world.
