Random thoughts on a falling leaf Saturday morning:

1. Today is September 11. I wanted to take a moment to honor those affected by this terrible tragedy. May we never forget.

2. We surprised the twins last weekend at college. They were a little homesick and I was a little homesick and so we drove two hours to give them a hug and take them to lunch.

It was worth every minute of every mile.

3. Do you know I post the best finds every Wednesday on a series called “What I Bought Wednesday” on my YouTube channel?

Sounds as if you had a great lunch with the twins. Hope all is going well with them and that they are settling in and enjoying their classes.

Sounds like you had a great visit with the twins. Hopefully adjusting is coming easier without them home. You are always busy and have tons going on with work on the blog. Thanks so much for featuring my Indian corn wreath. I finally got this project of my project bucket list. Yes, I have a project bucket list.

Hi Karianne, You are killing my bank account. I just got my plum dress the other day, I LOVE IT. Now I need to order the blazer. Not sure what color I want but I think it might be navy. I love my popcorn sweater in gray. I wanted the cream also but they did not have my size. I am 5' 10 so I need a larger size than you so it falls right. If you see another cream sweater let me know. I love having a personal shopper, you do the leg work and I just sit back and purchase. Keep them coming. Love Kim

The value content of your site is excellent. I think your trend report on round tables may be tipping me in that direction. I've been wanting a large round table next to our bookcase wall with three or four bright colored chairs around it and large coffee table books and large vase with flowers/branches on top the table. The only issue is our large tv is centered in the book case wall...maybe I could get chairs that swivel. You provide a wonderful bright spot every week..a welcome respite from all the gloomy news. Oh and same for Only Murders In The Building on Hulu, really enjoying it.

No. 2, so very sweet and I know it felt great in both directions. I haven't even read the rest of this post yet, but I just felt like giving my opinion about sharing the hugs with college kids. I have 9 siblings (and was so ready to leave for college), but I cherished the phone calls and all the letters I got from mom. In the days before cell phones & even now, cards from home can carry those bonds from home.

Great post! Lots of great ideas and finds. So glad you could see the twins. I thought of you last Sunday. I met my Aggie daughter and my Fort Hood soldier son in Waco with hubby to have dinner at Walk Ons Restaurant. When we drove past Baylor, I said a prayer for the girls and their parents! And thank you for reminding everyone of today. September 11 changed our Nation and our world. My Air Force husband was in the Pentagon that day. My boys are both Army Officers today and one of them is deployed currently. Thank you for remembering.

So glad you got to see your girls (and they got to see you!). We are visiting my son at college next weekend. He's already put in an order for baked goods. Ha!
