Random thoughts on a bright shiny new Saturday morning:

1. I figured out the yummiest thing to eat recently. Have you ever heard of veggie fajitas? You can eat fajitas without the meat and they are delish.

2. I just published a new episode of “What I Bought Wednesday” on my YouTube Channel. So many fun finds this week including the cutest sunglasses.

You can see it here.

3. Looking for a fun way to make your room feel like summer without spending a dime? Here’s a tip I use all the time.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. I shared my favorite new meal and we discussed the best white paint colors and talked about ideas for mixing and matching pattern without overthinking it and how to find the perfect paint color when you paint a room.

5. What are your thoughts on decaf coffee? I switched recently and don’t tell the coffee people, but I can’t tell a difference.

And now?

Here are some of my favorite finds from around the web.

Always fun to read Thistle keeping. In regards to the coffee question, I am sensitive to caffeine and definitely can tell a difference between regular and decaf.

Watch your Wednesday finds every week an thy re great. Have to ask about the ring you wear on your right hand. I have almost identical which is a moonstone in a very similar setting. The stone was originally in a rock form which my great grandmother found on the beach when she traveled to California in a covered wagon (she wanted to see the ocean). I have always loved it and my Mom and Dad had it made into a ring for my 24th birthday.

Ok, now I need to find a chandelier for our porch. So clever to make it solar! I'd seen Diane's driftwood art earlier this week and loved it too. We live near Puget Sound so I'm sure i could find a piece there. Just FYI, when I shared these 2 ideas with my dear hubby, he rolled his eyes-again-in that sweet way of his. :o)

Re: coffee. As with all dietary advice...plenty of people say oh no and plenty say there is no problem with a cup or two a day actually having some benefits. The most important aspect is how it make you feel as an individual since there are so many opinions. My husband likes green tea and I drink black tea every morning. I have a brilliantly healing acupuncturist who has practiced for 40 years. He told me several things I never forgot: My particular constitution does better with a little caffeine. (true, but just the one cup) And (this may cause a few squawks) his least healthy patients were vegan. Not trying to be judgmental, just reporting. I do not eat a lot of meat but do better with some.

For me, decaf is just heated brown colored water and I can absolutely tell the difference between it and the REAL THING. I drink my coffee strong and black. and am very particular about it.. Funny how certain things in our lives can be so serious, haha. My coffee is a serious thing ;]

So many wonderful goodies in this edition!! Glad you're not noticing the difference drinking decaf. I didn't either, but I sure do notice it now if they accidentally give me "high test"!!! xoxo
