Random thoughts on a cloudy sleepy Saturday morning:
1. Yesterday was high school graduation. Two tiny little blonde-haired girls in high heels with smiles on their faces and Baylor on their graduation caps walked across the stage.
I’m still recovering.
2. I am one pound and six ounces away from losing my goal of 100 pounds.
And then?
The hard part comes. Keeping it off. Yikes. Just between us? I’m so nervous. I’m thinking about transitioning from the program I’m doing to count macros as part of maintaining a healthy weight. Has anyone else tried it?
3. I’m sharing another edition of What I Bought Wednesday on my YouTube Channel. You can see it here. It’s all the things that I found and bought this week including the cutest travel steamer and these amazing faux ficus branches that look so real.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We took a video tour of my home and I showed you my top 10 closet organizing finds and we discussed the party that almost wasn’t and got excited about these cute fashion finds.
5. Has anyone played pickleball? The outfits are SO CUTE. I feel like I need to make it my thing.
And now?
Here is all the amazing stuff I found for us this week.
It was an amazing one.
I love a simple update.
And here’s one of the cutest ones. This is the before.
And then?
She made a simple update and it made such a difference.
See the after here.
I love this idea.
She found vintage stamps for invitations.
And she shows you how to find them here.
I couldn’t even believe this DIY.
These are peonies that aren’t real.
Don’t they look amazing?
You know I’m all about flea market finds.
Here are seven never to pass up.
And in random news:
I’ve been waiting for this after
These pale pink nail polishes
The best period drama mini-series
This incredible modern farmhouse
These banana nut muffins
These five-minute floral arrangements
How to press flowers
This Memorial Day idea
This tulip cake
This is the CUTEST idea
How to spray paint wicker furniture
And this.
I’ve been looking for flowers that look real.
And one more for the road
Have you ever painted brick?
It’s such an affordable makeover idea.

Congrats on your weight loss ! Yes maintaining is hard...never tried the macro but has a friend who loves it.. Loved the period pieces-have not seen Jamaica Inn...will check it out.
Congrats to your daughters/mom and dad re the twins graduation. And congrats on your weight loss too. Such discipline, commitment and motivation in showing yourself you can do this while encouraging/supporting your readers as well! WAY TO GO!!
Karianne, Congratulations to your twins on their graduation! I remember my twin and I graduations 40 years ago, but we went to colleges in opposite directions after that. Cheers on their graduation! When my sister's uncle in law died, he amassed a huge stamp collection, all of which were face value. My sister divided up the stamps for all the family and she still uses them on the face of her cards and letters! It's fun to receive a card from her as she chooses meaningful stamps for me and others!
Congratulations to your beautiful daughters!! Enjoy their next chapters, although, I know you already will. And CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss!!! Wow woman. AMAZING...and yes, I have the pickleball net set up in my driveway at every gathering- so much fun!!! I love the game.
Congratulations to the twins!! This is so exciting for your family. And congratulations on being almost there for your weight loss goal. Your hard work and dedication paid off!
I can’t believe they’ve graduating already! Time definitely flies by, doesn’’t it! And 10 high fives in a row for your incredible weight loss! It’s an amazing feat! I’m just into my third year on Keto and it is so worth the effort and self discipline when you reach your goal. I lost 60 lbs. in just under a year (including a long weight loss stall) and have kept it off. I got discouraged rather quickly starting out and trying to keep track of my macros. I ended up just counting my carb intake and that made it so much easier and successful. Everyone and every body is so different. Just need to find what works the best for you without being too time consuming or becomes a hassle rather than being helpful. Don’’t be afraid to try different things. Good Job!
I'm so amazed at your weight loss!! How did you do it if I may ask. I need to lose at least 75 pounds and it just seems so overwhelming.
What weight loss program did you use?

Xxx - leelee
Congratulations to your beautiful twin girls on their graduation! And Baylor? How exciting! And congratulations to you, as well! You look great! How long did it take? Asking for a friend. 😉
Your girls are beautiful just like their mother. Congratulations to the twins. The last year and a half has been so challenging for our young people and they deserve so much credit trying to keep up with virtual learning and all the uncertainties they faced each week.. You have done wonderful on your weight loss journey and that is just what it is. On maintenance just pick something that you can maintain over a lifetime. I have been a WW person for over 30 years and it works for me. I have been back to meetings and weighing in for the last nine years.. It does get harder to maintain and to stay motivated but I think you can do it. Good luck and you look fabulous!!
Congratulations on twins graduating! On to their path to success You should applaud yourself with your weight-loss. You have done a great job!
You go girl--the twins are doing great, but leaving--and you are a new woman! The places you and Denny will go!!! I am soooooo proud of you--keep up the good work and you will get to your goal!!!
I'd love to hear about the program you used to loose all that weight. You look amazing. There are so many programs that I've tried and failed at that it's inspiring to see how well you have done.
Congratulations to the girls!! That is a huge milestone. Thank you so much for the feature today! You are the sweetest and yes!! I saw Leslie's peonies this week and I had to watch her video three times to give my brain time to catch up with the fact that they were not real. That girl is crazy talented!!
Happy Graduation to your girls!! This is such a milestone with only more good things to come!! Congratulations on your weight loss!! You did an amazing feat of losing 100 lbs!! If you can do that, you can do the maintenance. Keep doing what you are doing... eat healthy, track your calories, and stay active. You've got this!! I use the free My Fitness Pal App. You can pay for more access, but I find it works for me. The free app breaks down the macros and the nutrition so you can see how much carbs, fat, protein, plus other things like calcium, iron, sodium etc. It gives you a lot for free! I've heard of pickleball, but never played it. You say the outfits are cute. I just may need to try it ;) Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face. I loved watching your recent home tour video and hearing a few more of your stories. Happy Saturday, friend! PS: Just got my fashion tape in the mail!
....Also MFP seemed to have changed the layout and it is much easier to see on computer verses the phone.
Hmmmm, sadly it looks like the new layout of MFP did away with listing the macros. :( Still has some good things to offer though.
I use the MFP free version and I noticed it does show macros. If you go to “more” on the bottom right of the home page, click on “nutrition” and look at the top of the page you’ll see selection choices for calories, nutrients and macros
Congratulations on your twins’ graduation. Also, I am so proud of you and your weight loss. Much love.🙏🏻❤️
Last day of school for my senior was yesterday but graduation is June 4. Right there with ya with the mixed emotions. But isn't it good to have something to celebrate??? I am unfamiliar with macros but am very familiar with weight maintenance. You will tire of hearing me say it, but the best advice I can give is to have a plan!!! Some form of accountability is super helpful, especially in the early days. After a while the compliments don't come as often and that can affect your motivation--so you need to find a compelling reason to keep it off. Also ..... find an exercise plan that works for you, don't worry about "looking silly", and make it part of your lifestyle. As you say to us so often .... you got this!
What an exciting time at your house! The twins graduation and celebrating your weight loss journey! It’s been amazing to see it first hand on zooms during thistlewood mastermind! You have literally been shrinking before our eyes! Enjoy all these amazing moments! Hugs, Karin P.S. thank you for including my Memorial Day ideas 🥰
I'd would also like to know about your weight loss program.
Congrats all around KariAnne - I'm so happy for you!
KariAnne, congratulations on reaching your goal almost. That’s so incredible! So happy for your daughters! Congratulations!
Karianne!! Congrats on the incredible weight loss!! You are my inspiration! Menopause has not been very kind to me and I need to get myself at a better weight. Keep up the good work! Thank you for sharing with us through your blog. Each time I stop by it's like a visit with a precious friend! It was forever my hope to connect with you while you were living in Kentucky...but I never made the drive. But, hey...Texas would be a nice trip, too;) Congratulations on the twins graduation. I celebrate with you and your family and pray God's blessings over them as they begin their new adventure. Love you, girl!
Best wishes to the twins! You ready to be an empty nester soon? (tears.) So you have lost 100 pounds. Holy mackerel, lady, that is incredible. Grats. that is a huge amount of weight - and you did it so fast. I know you will keep it off. ♥ I just know you will!
KariAnne: just learn to put one foot in front of the other and breathe....maintenance will work, just find something you can live with and all will be right with the world! Congratulations on the twins graduation.
As someone who has lost large amounts of weight multiple times... which means I regained it.. I have since found what works for me!! Delay, Don't Deny is a book by Gin Stephens and is a very good read. I can now say, that I've jumped off the weight loss cycle and am FREE. Her latest book is Fast, Feast, Repeat and it is wonderful! Congrats to you, you have done a great job and look WONDERFUL!!!
Congratulations to you! You look fabulous! Thanks for the weekly wrap up-love all the great ideas.
Congratulations all around! Best wishes on the twin's graduation and congratulations on your weight loss. You look amazing and are an inspiration. You've got this, my friend! Have a wonderful week!
