Random thoughts on a tree-blooming Saturday morning:
1. As part of the whole weight loss journey, I’m on the hunt for clothes stores that are a little out of the ordinary. I just found a new one. It’s based in Britain (and you know how much I love anything English), but there’s an American website, too. It’s called Joules.
Have you ever heard of it?
I shared a couple of tops I bought there in Instagram stories.
And today I just saw that they are having their giant sale.
2. What are your thoughts on headbands? Is there an age cut-off?
I tried it.
And I felt 12.
3. Thank you for all the self-tanner recommendations after this happened.
You were SO RIGHT about the Jergen’s. I’ve been using it and it really works.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. I shared some of my favorite rugs and the BEST yard sale find and we talked about yard sales and all the things that are on our lists.
5. Can I tell you how much I love CTL Z? It just makes life better.
And now?
I have the CUTEST stuff to share this week.
LET’S GO.
This DIY cabinet.
She made it from an old window.
You can see the entire project here.
This bunny makeover.
Isn’t it the cutest?
And these Easter brunch recipe ideas.
It all sounds so yummy.
And the peony pictures on this post ARE AMAZING.

The most clever furniture makeover

And this.
WAIT UNTIL you see the tulip installation.
And one (okay maybe two) more for the road
And some of my best peony blooming up tips.
happy random Saturday to you

I love Thistlekeeping my friend. Itβs always a bright cherry part of my Saturday mornings. Thank you so much for sharing my Easter Brunch recipes. You are the best friend ever! Leslie
Thank you for all the great ideas. I'm in love with the bunny pot! I can't wait to make it.
Happy Saturday. Joules make the BEST rain jackets. Wore on to an Aggie football game and it was a complete downpour and I was 100% dry. Highly recommend the rain jackets. They definitely have some cute stuff. Just an FYI, Dillards has a small section of Joules in store.
I buy Joules dresses for my granddaughter. They make lovely clothes! As for headbands -- I wish! They look so cute on everyone else. If I put a headband or scarf in my hair I feel like an old fashioned wash woman! Anyway, loving my Saturday coffee and Thistlekeeping. Thanks for the weekend break!
Love your picks!! Of course, I always do! Hoping your weekend is a great one!
You are the best! Thank you for sharing my vintage window cabinet. It's not the prettiest picture I've ever shared. It's that over the toilet in a small powder room camera moment. Love all the other inspiration as well. Your spring home tour with extra flowers made me smile so I featured it today as well. Great minds and all. Happy Saturday!
I'm planning a trip to England too! We toured Scotland a few years ago, and I loved it. I've been to London and Brighton in the UK. I want a literary tour now. C.S. Lewis, Shakespeare, Milton... the list goes on. So dreamy!!!
Love the Scandinavian blog. I like old barns made into homes as well. The Cotswalds are lovely. We rented a wonderful thatch roofed home there for two weeks four years ago. The very best part was a field of blackfaced sheep one foot outside the kitchen window. They would come right up to the window and look in. π I had to keep taking their pictures. Have you seen the clothing site Boden USA? I think you would like it, English company.
I'm on the hunt too for cute spring clothes. Thanks for the Joules tip! I will check them out. You posted so many spring ideas. Thank you! I love the daisy marble tile in that bathroom! It's a fun spin on classic. and blends so nicely with the wood tones. I'm so glad the Jergens tanner is working. Yeah, for no more orange glowing legs and feet! I need to get some tanning lotion as well, as my legs are scary white! Headbands......hmmmm, I'm thinking we can't pull them off after early thirties. That's just me. ;)
Thanks as always for the weekly wrap-up! So many adorable ideas to try. Think I will give the bunny pot a try this weekend. BTW I LOVE the UK! Have been numerous times and still haven't been enough. Hoping next year will be the time to head over again.
When my mother sold her home I dug up all the pee-uh-knees that I could and planted them in my flower bed. Now those plants came with the house when my folks bought it in 1947. I still have them 3 houses later. So they do last a long time - maybe just not in bloom! Thanks so much for your posts. You are so witty and adorable and you always have interesting ideas and thoughts for my day.
I'm 60ish and luv the fabric knotted headbands, just hard to find. I see older woman wearing these in shoes so I say go for it. So happy for you and your weight loss and new clothes... kind of jealousπ
Anthropologie has many headbands with knotted tops
Zulily often has Joules products at greatly reduced prices. You have to be quick though, they sell fast!
Hah, I definitely don't understand the headband trend and I also feel 12 when I wear one! Thanks so much for sharing my furniture makeover! Hope you had a wonderful Saturday.
I am so glad the jergans worked for you. I love it and use it everyday. There is one for your face only which I use everyday also. Thanks for the Joules tip, I just spent $100.00 in like 10 minutes. All from the sale site. I shop Zuilily all the time but never saw Joules on it I will have to keep my eyes open for that. Thanks for the ti.p Have a blessed Sunday.
Thanks for sharing our vanity stool makeover! It was such a fun project and so many have loved it over on Instagram. And did you say $5 mascara?? I have to try it out! Have a great day!
Other lotions make my hands sting which is why I really love the one I use instead. : ) I've been making progress in my quest for better photography and I'm looking forward to rejoining the group for April!!! It's fun to read your blog and imagine your voice saying everything so cheerfully : )
Hi Karianne, Reading your blog is my Sunday morning treat and as it is mother's day here in the UK it's extra special ππ How fab would it be for you to visit England ππ¬π§ I live in Kent which is also known as the garden of England, London is near by and its possible to pop over to France for the day, Cornwall is beautiful espically for Poldark fans π have a lovely day xx
