Random thoughts on a beautifully sunny March morning:
1. I was on the sweetest podcast this week called The Hop. You can see the entire interview here.
2. I will also be over on my Facebook going live today at 1:00 pm CST sharing how to make the cutest spring pots if you’d like to join in the crafting fun.
3. We’ve been saving our pennies to build a workshop/studio/office for Thistlewood in the backyard. Hopefully we’ll be starting work on it in the next couple of months. I can’t wait to show you all the behind-the-scenes.
4. It was a fun week on the blog. We talked about these 25 tips to make your life easier and my favorite rugs (most of them are under $150 for an 8′ x 10′) and this easy no-bake recipe and why you should never, ever, ever do this.
5. Here’s to all the sunshine. This week I’m going to be working on a fun, furniture makeover, getting the back porch ready for spring and making one of my mother’s favorite recipes.
And now?
Let’s see all the amazingness I found.

I've got spring fever projects on my mind!! I especially love the garden lime wash!! Thank you! This is exactly what I've wanted to do, but thought I'd have to painstakingly paint each one. Wooohooo, this looks so much easier and I love the soft vintage look. Perfection!
PS: Yeah for the Thistlewood studio to be!! Exciting! Dahlias are beautiful. I have a few mini ones in my garden in the summer 😊
Fun, as usual. I definitely have some English cottage decorating tendencies lurking around. And how fun is robynsfrenchnest? I'm going to send you a fun link for your Saturday. https://www.dwell.com/article/lucy-the-tugboat-the-brooklyn-home-company-b0136173
Hmmm, apparently "fun" is my word of the day. :)
love the spring and Easter tablescapes.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing my crochet tutorial! I love all the spring inspiration here! Dahlias are so wonderful!
You find us such interesting links each week. Some I just love and some not so much. The Nantucket beach house is absolutely beautiful. But if they hadn't mentioned it was from 1927, I would have assumed it was a brand new build. It looks like all the 1927 character was erased. Your house (I'm not sure of the age, but the lady has seen some decades) looks like it has lived. It still has its stories. Its charm. Its history. Your house is restoration done right. The house whisperer would like your home.
One more thing: you mentioned dahlias. Are you familiar with Texas author Susan Wittig Albert? She has an absolutely charming series titled "The Darling Dahlias". https://susanalbert.com/darling-dahlias-mysteries/
My Mom is in the hospital & not doing well. This had brought me joy. Thank you!
Lots of love & prayers to your mother and you Therese! ❤️❤️
Hi, I just wanted to comment with a simple message. I do like thistlekeeping & appreciate other ideas. Please don't think you have to do projects if you are busy with things like senior year, life, etc. Your stories can stand on their own. Thank you.
Great Thistle keeping today, KA. I LOVED the house whisperer article and sent to my hubs to read. Really loved Robyn's amazing Easter tablescapes. And I love dahlias - they are quite hardy. Hope your weekend is going spectacularly!
Wow! Another fantastic weekly wrap-up! Lots of ideas and thinking to do! Love dahlias....so easy to grow and so beautiful.
I can’t wait to see the Thistlewood office/workshop/studio! Something exciting for you to look forward to! Happy Saturday!
A studio!! I am so excited for you! And sitting on the very edge of my seat...holding my breath...waiting! Oh, friend, I am envisioning the blueprints!
Loved the House Whisperer article and all the English cottage ideas. Thanks!
Thanks for all the fun entertainment, you know how to really get me thinking of ways to change things up for spring. Loved it all, thanks so much.
So many great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Ok, the textiles in the Nantucket house were stunning!! xoxo
So kind of you to include my cottage decor article on your blog KariAnne!! Loved reading this post!
