Random thoughts on a cold and chilly almost March morning:
1. My husband’s birthday gift to me? He downloaded all of my pictures onto an external hard drive. I have no idea what an external hard drive is. I have no idea how to work it.
All I know is that it’s holding thousands and thousands of pictures in its hot little hands.
2. My friend gave me the most AMAZING lotion bar that she made for me for my birthday, too. Have you ever used a lotion bar before? It looks like soap, but it’s lotion.
GAME CHANGER.
My skin feels like it’s 20.
3. I just changed my perfume. Have you ever smelled Kai?
SERIOUSLY.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I LOVE IT. My favorite thing is that you can smell it even after you spray it. Most perfumes you spray on and you can’t smell the scent any more. But I can smell it for hours after I put it on.
And it just makes you feel pretty.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We shared all the tips for making your tulips last for weeks and discussed the best before and after and I showed you how to make a duvet cover from a sheet and tips for putting on a duvet cover, too.
5. I’m so excited to get to watch my nephew play in the championship basketball game this afternoon and then we have supper club tonight.
And now?
Need a little inspiration on a chilly morning?
LET’S GO.

What is supper club?? Sounds like fun.
It is SO MUCH FUN! It's a group of friends that get together once a month and get all dressed up and go to a super fancy restaurant!
I'm so glad you asked about supper club.................I wanted to know too!!
Happy, happy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, again and again....I think we need to make birthdays a whole year celebration. We all need some new happy to our days this year.😁 I am LOVING that garden inspiration and alfreso dining. Thank you! I'm putting my project list together for our yards and patio refresh. Exciting! A lotion bar? Do share more! My hands are saying they need somethin' with a year of dryness from extra hand washing. 🥴
Yes! Lotion bars are super concentrated lotion! I think my friend made them from coconut oil and some other stuff! I found a few online that you can order!
KariAnne, I joined that book club group. How fun!
I'm so excited about it! An online book club was just what I needed this month!

Hi Karianne, which Kai perfume did you purchase? I'm in need of trying a new perfume too.
You never disappoint...and between you and me? I love your style and advice you offer so generously....my favorite things you share? Your heart. Through stories of dads and coupons with no expiration date....love,love, love. Now to pivot in another direction.... have you held any rooms on clubhouse yet? I keep looking for you there (and am also thrilled you’ll be a part of a book club! How exciting ❤️)
Happy birthday karianne!!! I hope you had a wonderful day. Looking forward to spring and all of it’s bright flowers!! 🌸🌼🌸
You really know how to tell a story. I just loved that and you are correct. Showing up is really everything! I continue to enjoy your blog. Thank you! I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I too am a long time fan of Kai! It’s all I every use! Love it.
Thanks so much for the tip on how to put on the duvet cover. I was seriously considering getting rid of my comforters because putting the duvet covers on them is SO much trouble. I can't wait to try the method you shared. Who knows, maybe it will work so well that I might even try my hand at making new covers from sheets! I'm not much of a seamstress, but I do have a sewing machine. Also, thanks for the tip about using sheets that are a size smaller than the comforter. I think that my covers are too big, which is part of the problem.
I love these Saturday posts and so love going through each and everyone of your selections, grateful you've have taken the time to find the best of the best! I have printed recipes, copied decorating vignettes, wished for "homes or seaside cottages like theirs" and attempted garden layouts or improving curbside views. Thanks for my hopes and dreams KariAnne! Carol
Karianne, your tips saved my tulips this week, thank you!
Ooooo, an external hard drive with all your pictures on it! That's amazing! I have one and love it, while also being terrified that I'll lose it - hah! Happy Birthday again :) Have a wonderful day!
What an amazing day and all the fun I had looking through these, food, crafts and garden, you covered them all. You have a good man, who knows what makes you happy and that's a lot. Have a wonderful week.
The Sea Roost Cottage?! Yes, please!! xoxo
What a thoughtful surprise, Karianne, thank you so much for the sweet shout-out on my encouragement for the weary post and birdhouse makeover post too. I really appreciate it. You're always finding considerate ways to make others feel special and encouraged. It's such an inspiration! I hope your week is richly blessed, CoCo
