Random thoughts on a melting Saturday morning:
1. In amazing weather news, the snow is meeeellllllttttttting. I never thought I’d be so happy to see snow show up.
And even happier to see it leave.
2. I found the MOST AMAZING mascara. It works so well and doesn’t clump and has over 120,000 reviews and it stays on and the best part?
It’s under $5.
You can find it at most stores or if you don’t want to get out in the snow you can order it here.
3. I am all about Ben Rector. Do you ever listen to him? Just listen to this love song.
Doesn’t that make your day a little brighter?
4. This week on the blog we discussed painting brick and how it has held up and things from my house that I love that are on sale and this fun bedroom refresh with some budget friendly decorating ideas.
5. And what do you think about adding a big round skirted table in the bay window of this room?
I’m thinking yes? Blue and white with stacks of books and a rounder lamp?
Decorating minds want to know.
And now?
Let’s see all the amazing, incredible AWESOME stuff I found for us this week.

I have SO MANY fun things I’ve been working on while we’ve been snowed it.
See you then!
Happy Saturday KariAnne! I can't believe what you've all been dealing with on Texas. I'm glad it's warming up. I can't imagine you without internet! Beautiful features as always. Can't wait to sit down and read your last year's spring tour.
Another amazing Saturday wrap up. So many ideas to think about. Enjoy your weekend!
As for the prettiest house you have ever seen, it is a gorgeous home. But Karianne, your house is much prettier I would choose your home any day of the week girl.
Look at all those tulips! :) It's fun to see Thistlekeeping this Saturday--I wasn't sure you would be up to it (and I wouldn't blame you!). I'm not sure what bay window you want to put a table by--is it behind the sofa on the right? I have seen that look in other homes and I like it .... but please don't do the decorating trick where you hide the spines of the books to make things look color consistent. If the colors of the books are really bothersome to your aesthetic, I much prefer making matching covers .... but books are to be looked at and read and to do that, you need to see the titles on the spines! (Yes, this is one of those things that triggers me, haha).
So glad your snow is melting!!!! Being born in Texas, I know your state is not prepared for that kind of weather! Thanks for sharing your fun posts and ideas!!
So happy you are moving on the other side of all that snow! You have shared so many beautiful things this week. Those two home tours were AMAZING! Than you for always sharing such wonderful goodness, to brighten our Saturdays! Happy weekend, friend!
I always love your Thistlekeeping posts. You share the most fun things from your blog and others! Thank you for sharing my Bed Linen Layering post. Happy Saturday, my friend!
KariAnne, I so enjoyed spending time going through your posts, and the other's too. So many lovely posts, and info! Thanks so much for providing this! Happy Saturday!
So glad that things are returning to normal in Texas.
Love, love black windows, especially the factory-type ones. And I do agree with Nancy about that house, a bit too perfect and not cozy. Thanks for all your ideas.
I like that home but Kari Ann your home is beautiful!!
Now you have snirt when two-day-old snow meets dirt! Love the finds this week! xo, laura
I live in Texas also. Wasn't the sun beautiful today?!? We still have to boil water and the grocery shelves are empty, but it's moving forward! I enjoy your blog and find it motivating to get things done! Looking forward to spring decorating already!
you look very pretty with your hair straightened
Love you Thistlekeeping posts! So happy that you are safe and warm and hopefully soon so many others in Texas will be as well. Love Julia's home and the review of Courtney's book. I don't think there is anything Miss Mustard Seed doesn't do well, she is very talented. Have a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to seeing what you are up too this week.
Those home tours were amazing! Glad you are all doing well in your neck of the woods!! xoxo
Okay I'm now obsessed with Ben Rector and I'm dying to try that mascara you recommended. Funny thing - I was literally just thinking I needed to find a new mascara since I wasn't happy with the one I have. This post is chock full of so many amazing ideas and links.....it's like opening a treasure chest. I love all the inspiration.
