Random thoughts on a Saturday morning:
1. Does it count as fall because it’s September?
Even if it’s 90 degrees and the pool is still open?
2. Do you have any tips on how to get grease stains out of clothes?
My favorite shirt met some salad dressing and lost.
3. What are your thoughts on velvet pants?
Yeah or nay?
What if I told you they had flowers on them? Would that make a difference?
4. I am so all about lemonade right now.
Usually I only drink it in the summer.
Which leads me back to the all-important question 1. 🙂
I love apple crisp.
It totally reminds me of fall and crisp clear afternoons with lots of leaves.
But upping the ante with peanut butter?
That takes the cake.
You can find the recipe over at The Happier Homemaker.
I laughed out loud when I read this post from my friend Pam at House of Hawthornes.
It’s so true.
And that last line…..priceless. 🙂
Yesterday the mailman dropped this off on my front step.
This fun book called The $50 Home Makeover is written by Shauna from Perfectly Imperfect and is FULL of decorating ideas and projects for the home.
Every time I re-read it….I get inspired.
There’s upcycled projects and DIY projects and so much more.
And look who is on page 155. 🙂
I’m in full fall decorating mode here at the farm.
The hydrangea are dried and ready for decorating.
I’m sharing my fall home tour on Monday, September 15.
If you are getting ready for fall, too and need an easy mantel idea….here’s the DIY tutorial for the dried hydrangea wreath.
And in random news this week:
Have you ever heard of faux concrete countertops?
This is duct tape? Seriously amazing.
Make an entire table top full of these for Christmas.
Just when you were wondering what to do with a cupcake liner.
Here’s some fall inspiration for the road.
I am so excited about this next week. I’m posting the prequel to Thistlewood Farms.
It’s the house we lived in before we moved here.
And a sweet story.
And a porch project.
Can’t wait for a week full of coffee and inspiration. 🙂
Happy random Saturday to you. 🙂
