Random thoughts on a winter January morning:
1. Y’all. IT IS SUPPOSED TO SNOW IN TEXAS THIS WEEKEND.
Now if you have snow where you are all the time. I get it. That sentence is no big deal.
BUT THIS IS TEXAS.
It never snows. We have the sleds ready.
2. I just got the cutest sweater from Wal-mart. It’s embroidered with FRI-YAY and it’s super affordable. You can see it here.
3. Has anyone watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV? We just started it and it’s about a football coach from America who coaches a soccer team in England.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We made the cutest Valentine’s Day craft with a video and decorated with blue and white and I shared the most amazing thing that I got for Christmas.
5. And have you seen the return of the banana clip.
Yes. I said it.
The banana clip. I have no words.
And now?
Let’s see all the INCREDIBLE things I found for us from around the web.
Here are simple tips on how to turn your Christmas decor into winter decor.
With some amazing cozy pictures.
I’ve always wanted to start a cutting garden.
It all begins with the seeds.
Here’s a seed selection from one of my favorite gardeners.
And if you are looking for a yummy pie?
This recipe looks delicious.
Buttermilk pie I’m looking at you.
And this room just looks so cozy.

I always enjoy your Thistlekeeping Post. You find the greatest from the week. There are so many influencers on email and Instagram that I get a little overwhelmed. Enjoy the snow. ๐
Your photo shoot pictures are great! Love the one you chose "fluffing the pillow". Congrats on all your hard work these months, you look great, Karianne! Happy New Year!
Happy snow day! We are way "under budget" for snow here in west Michigan but the winter isn't over yet. We do have enough to sport a lovely snow couple in our back yard, which makes me smile every time I look out the window. Thanks again for another fun lineup. I think you should tell us more about your first picture. Love the trees you have pictured there.

You are looking so great! And, as always, I've enjoyed so many of today's links. Thanks for doing the work and introducing us to new sites and ideas. I'm all in on the opinions in 2021 design trends and the English style photos!

Snow Day! Fun! We donโt have snow days but Iโm going to pretend we are so I can cozy up on the sofa in front of the fire and devour all these wonderful posts. Itโs gonna be a good day! xo

Another wonderful post, KariAnne! I love all your features, and met a couple new bloggers I'm now following. Thanks for the introductions, and Happy Sledding!
Oh my oh my!! I love flower gardening and fill my warmer-than-40-degree days with it! Thank you for introducing us to Kim and her blog. Growing flowers has always been a favorite pastime of mine since I was little and helped my mom do it, but either she or craving a simpler lifestyle has made me devour it the past few years. My big dream is a greenhouse, but I have to decide to either take a family vacation (first in five years) or get a greenhouse. Guess the kids could put on their bathing suits and sit in my new, hot greenhouse and call it a vacation. They'll be fine, right? Also, curious question...you showed us that beautiful image with the "built-ins" flanking the fireplace. As far as I can tell, though, they look like separate shelves. Do built-ins have to be truly built in to be called that?? I've wondered it before so seems like a good time to ask.
Thank you so much for sharing our self-discovery books, I really appreciate it! I know you've been on a self-discovery journey of your own and while it's not always easy the effort is definitely worth it. You look amazing! Big hugs and thank you for all you do, CoCo
I am so glad you got your "snow storm!"
Those lights...3k for two?!! I guess we can dream!!! xoxo
