Random thoughts on an overcast, potentially rainy almost-Thanksgiving November morning:
1. I went in to wake one of the twins up this week and Buddy was fast asleep on her bed. I wanted to capture that picture in my heart forever.
2. Please tell me you are watching the Hallmark movie marathon, too. If you are please list your favorites (or just the plot) in the comments. I don’t want to miss any of the good ones. A Royal Christmas is one of my favorites.
3. I’m so proud of myself. We ordered the turkey ahead of time and I have the entire menu planned out (with test recipes) for Thanksgiving.
This is a first.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about coffee bars and shared a very wise story and made the cutest wood and felt trees.
5. If you’ve been following along on Instagram and Facebook, I’ve been sharing my outfits of the day. It’s a way to keep me accountable and keep me on the weight loss journey.
And just between us—it gives me a reason to get up and get dressed.
I just shared the CUTEST reindeer sweater that’s only $16.99 this weekend.
6. I’m drinking coffee out of a Santa mug. Life is great.
And now?
Here are my favorite links from around the planet.

Happy Thanksgiving, Karianne!
The entire Christmas In Evergreen series is my very favorite. Could it be the red truck catching my eye ???? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I also need to add a big thank you for the Inspirational Christmas tree link. I have a friend near the end of her life and I've been trying to figure out a Christmas decoration for her. I can add my own messages to the blank one's. I just love you KariAnne xoxox
This entire post is amazing my friend. And thank you so much for sharing my nutcracker theme room. I am always grateful for our friendship.
I enjoy al the Hallmark Christmas movies. It's nice to read your blog and see that others like Hallmark and decorating as much as I do. My family including my DIL are not like me. I find shopping, gift making, crafting, gardening (flowers) and cheesy Hallmark movies my happiness but I'm the only one. Even gifting something cute isn't fun with family as they just don't see it...:0( So, I'm happy for your blog Kari Anne! Have the best Thanksgiving ever!
You're not alone Lori. I have a whole bunch of friends that enjoy the same things.....and some of their adult children too. We're out here running around in our Hallmark tee-shirts. We need all the happiness we can get. Happy Thanksgiving.
My favorite Hallmark movies (and also the only ones my husband will watch with me!!) are “The Christmas Card” and the 2 Mrs. Miracle movies with Doris Roberts.
Oh KariAnne, I laughed and laughed at your pancake story and it reminded me of my oatmeal raisin cookie fiasco. We were newly married and I decided to make a batch of my husband’s favorite cookies. Now you must understand that it was well known among all of my friends that the only reason I had a kitchen was because it came with the house, but what could be so difficult making cookies. I gathered all the ingredients and followed the recipe. They smelled wonderful and when they come out of the oven I proudly took one to my husband. He took one bite and I saw a look of disbelief cross his face. He asked if I added sugar and I assured him I had. He asked me to show him the sugar and I took the plastic container out of the pantry. He started to laugh and advised me that the container was salt. I had added at least one cup of salt instead of sugar. In my defense they look very similar. To this day we buy oatmeal cookies from the local bakery and laugh every time.

You always share so many great ideas. Thanks for the inspiration!
So far my favorite Hallmark movie has been the one with Kelly Pickler, which I didn't expect. I think it's called Christmas at Graceland or something close.
Where did the cool glitter reindeer ornament come from? Love it!
Oh KariAnne. I haven't read your pancake story before. Twinkling eye's reaction to your pancake tells me that he is a keeper. Thank you for yet another fun Thistlekeeping and a story to make me smile.
Happy Thanksgiving~ I hope you are serving blueberry pancake that morning! :)

Oh, I love that green Thanksgiving table! (I love how you find things for me. I rationalize that the time I spend here on Saturdays saves me hours of surfing the web during the week, so thanks! :)
I liked the Hallmark movie--Christmas in Vienna, which was filmed in Austria. I'm also watching Lifetime Christmas movies which have many of the same stars. I liked --A Charming Christmas Town, which is about Solvang, California, the #2 Best Christmas town in America on your list.
Those were some adorable Christmas ideas! I’m honored to be apart of the features! Thank you sweet friend!
Ooo...a new adventure: cooking your own Thanksgiving dinner! I know it will all turn out yummy and gobbled up! Enjoy! 😁❤
Hello Karianne...It is 10:00 PM here in New Jersey, and I am watching the Hallmark movie,The Angel Tree, as I am listening to your pancake story, and laughing so hard I almost can't type this. SO funny...I love it, and truly needed this laugh. I have been loving most of the Hallmark Christmas movies this season. My favorites are the ones that inspire the true Christmas spirit, and leave you feeIing warm and cozy. I so look forward to reading your Saturday morning posts, although it is no longer morning..lol. I got some wonderful inspiration from this post. Thank you. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Saturday before Thanksgiving! It sounds like you are so organized. Loved your coffee/hot chocolate bar and sweet story to go with it. And Leslie's table!
I do like the Hallmark Movies...some are cheesy but some are real gems. My favs this year are Cranberry Christmas..the decorations were just beautiful.😍The Christmas Train. Anything that has Candace Cameron Bure is always going to be good. Mrs Miracle with the wonderful Doris Robert's is great. When I start watching them my husband knows because of the music playing. LOL!!!
I am loving your outfits! The reindeer sweater was adorable and you are looking great! Keep up the good work! Happy Thanksgiving, KariAnne!! 🧡🦃
