Random thoughts on a sunny chilly Saturday morning in November:

1. I went yardsaling yesterday and found the cutest vintage seed packet holder. Have you ever bought something from a yard sale that you had no idea what you were going to do with it? And then? You brought it home and found the PERFECT place and the PERFECT idea for it?

Oh, good.

Me, too.

2. Today over in my November crafting group we are making a buffalo check wreath. Just the ribbon alone makes me smile.

3. When you are starting to decorate for Christmas? Everything goes up in our house starting Monday.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. I’m in the middle of the “12 Days of Getting Ready for Christmas” series. We talked about repurposing last year’s Christmas decor and ideas for freeze-ahead desserts and a creative handmade gift idea and what to stock your pantry with for the holidays.

And today?

I’m sharing 20 of the CUTEST personalized gift ideas.

5. Have you watched any Christmas movies yet? Today after crafting we are having a movie marathon. Hallmark on repeat.

And now?

Let’s see all the amazing stuff I found for us this week from around the web.

Have I watched a Christmas movie yet? Oh, dear friend. I watch Christmas movies from January 1 till December 31! I also play Christmas music year round. The words and meanings are true every day of the year. God is good, AL""L the time.

I have been watching Christmas movies since July. Need the feel goods. I tape Hallmark and then watch/listen when I'm writing reports. Thanks for the weekly wrap up. So many great ideas to inspire us. You are the best.

Al the happy holiday decorating ideas are beautiful and had me so depressed, at first, since in order to shut down the COVID 19 spread, we in NYS and surrounding states are just going to have to share it all by Zoom, Skype and other media options. But that is so much better than possibly spreading this horrible virus at family and neighborhood events. So selfish and short term thinking. . If we all stop being so self involved, so wanting to ignore science and reality, we can have happy modified holidays now and the real thing next year. Without another 200, 000deaths and hundreds more Americans sick anda million others with long term health issues from COVID 19. Thanks to all who are smart, caring and going to think of everyone, rather than their own short term, selfish needs,

Like a breath of fresh air, fresh holiday air. So badly needed after a chaotic, stressful week, month and year!!!! So want it all to just settle down and I can go back to casual visits with friends and family! Thank you KariAnne for sending goodwill, hope and optimism my way!!!

Ooh, that little Christmas village is the cutest thing ever. It never occurred to me to use cheap little birdhouses and fancy them up. Joann Fabric seems to always have wooden birdhouses in the clearance bins for a couple of bucks, and that's exactly where my mind went when I saw these photos. Thanks for gathering and sharing the ideas...including the pumpkin mousse. Mmm...pumpkin.
