Random thoughts on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning:

1. In the exciting news department? Remember the whole no-sugar thing I’ve been on? I LOST SIXTEEN POUNDS.

Yep.

16 wonderful, amazing, glorious gone-forever-pounds.

2. And in the spirit of saying goodbye to 16 pounds, I had to share these leggings.

They have TUMMY control and the leggings come in a zillion colors and they hold their shape through multiple washes and they have over 10,000 reviews on Amazon.

3. Yesterday I turned on the music in the house and lit candles and opened up the windows and DANCED.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. I showed you my fall front porch and we made buffalo check pumpkins with supplies we already had around the house and we discussed decorating for fall with what we already have and I shared a story and my kitchen with all its fall finery.

5. I helped a friend pick out paint colors for her entire home and I found a new neutral for all of us.

Are you ready?

Congratulations on the weight loss! I lost 27 lbs with the Covid, but it came back - bet you keep it off! Good for you - sugar is evil! What wonderful ideas with the sweater vases, and super buffalo check everything accents. I actually chalk painted the various ceramic pumpkins I had around; they really "festivize" the livingroom.

Love Love Love all of these things you've shared as always friend! Congrats on the journey, after cancer I had to make a bunch of changes too so I totally understand what you're going through. Hugs and high 5's!

Congratulations on your weight loss! It does make you feel like dancing doesn't it? Keep on keeping on! I've given up cheese and think it is making a difference. And thanks for all of the interesting links. I have been amazed at how many brown and amber glass bottles and jugs are showing up on blog posts and am kicking myself for giving away three brown vintage snuff bottles, one that still had the tax sticker on it, a couple of years ago in a fit of cleaning. I've had two larger ones out on my balcony with fairy lights in them for years so think I'll bring them inside for a bit to honor the trend.

Great job with going sugar free! Dropping 16 lbs is a huge accomplishment! Go to the store and find a 15 lb bag of dog food to see just how much that is. So happy for you! There’s so much fun in this post. Thanks for including us this week! ♥️

Greetings~ First KUDOS on the weight loss! So happy for you in your accomplishment because it is not easy, and yet may this encourage you for however more pounds you wish to lose. And yes, as a reader suggested, take the weight of 4 sugar bags (4 bags x 4 lbs each) and lift them to give you an idea of how much weight you were carrying and the wonderful feeling of it being gone!! Enjoyed many of your 'random thoughts' shared today and THANK YOU for that. I especially liked The Ponds Farmhouse drop cloth runner design. I've already taken that simple flower drawing and adding it to the front of my note cards when mailing to friends! Overall lots of ideas to mull and will be reviewing this all again.
