Random thoughts on a summery Saturday morning full of possibilities:
1. We are in the middle of organizing the space under the stairs. I just came up with a creative solution that I’m sharing on the blog on Monday.
Just between us? I hope it stays organized this time.
2. We are having so much fun in my DIY and Decorating Facebook. It’s FREE and I’d love to have you join us over there.
You can ask to join the group here.
3. Lately, we are all about films with subtitles and I just figured out why.
I multi-task while I watch television.
With subtitles? You have to actually watch the show.
4. It was a fun week here on the blog. We talked about this before and after thrift store find and discussed these simple bookshelf updates and I shared all my favorite summer entertaining ideas organized into categories.
5. Did you hear that Ann Taylor Loft just filed for bankruptcy?
I’m going to have to find a new place to shop.
Sigh.
And now?
Here are some fun things I found in my journeys this week. It was a good one.
Love this placemat idea.
She made this out of paper bags.
See the DIY here.
This summer centerpiece.
Blue and white and daisies is absolute perfection.
See the entire tablescape here.
This dishwasher rinse aid.
It’s so pretty and I love the bottle and it will look so cute on the counter.

Hello stripes and summer.

And one more for the road.
If you’ve ever wondered what the house we lived in before Thistlewood looked like?
HAPPY RANDOM SATURDAY TO YOU
Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much. Who knew what you can do with brown paper bags! Haha. Leslie
I could be in for a long weekend helping my neighbor get over Ann Taylor news. She just recovered from Dress barn closing. Thank's for all the great links.
I listen to audiotapes because I can multitask and my library allows up to 30, yes 30 audiobooks at a time. I'm in heaven. I have a library, but find that when I start to read, I fall asleep, lol.
Loved every single one!!!....But what I really want is the husband that made the strawberry tower. He would be awesome fir my shed and garden project. Do you have his business card???
Sorry KariAnne, I'm so impressed by his carpentry I can't even proof my comment!!! Carol
KA Do you think Leslie ever sleeps. You are friends so I figure you'll know this. Good post .Love Saturdays.
That mural is a statement and so fun, love the porch swing, the brown paper placements are cool but that sewing machine foot seemed a bit much for my technical skills. Lots of creativity here this morning and that is something to cheer about.
Will be here Monday for tips on organizing that space under the staircase! I have a very disorganized under stair closet now, each time I go in to find something, it involves removing half of the junk to uncover the thing I think I need. :~( xo Pat
So many features this week! Very fun to peruse, as always! Now off to get more prepared for Haven!
NOOOO!!! Probably 75% of my wardrobe is from Loft. One more nail in the coffin of the tragic year 2020. Lol.
Great thistles, KA. My favorite is the laughter one - she writes a bit like you do. What a funny lady.
Hi, I admire your decorating style, thank you. I have a question, you had a post on the best natural fiber rug and why the best, would you please let me know as I am wanting to buy two, thank you.
Thanks for the link repaired weekly wrap up. Love all the ideas!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! for the link to Victoria Elizabeth Barnes' blog....I have been belly laughing all morning, and I "think" I have found my tribe and my leader....lol I really enjoy your blog, especially Thistlekeeping, because it gives me encouragement and inspiration each time...have a great day!
