Random thoughts on a brilliantly sunny Saturday morning:
1. Nothing makes me happier than having a tractor show up at my house at 7:30 this morning. My husband and his dad are working in the back yard to pull up old pieces of concrete and install the fence posts.
2. I found the CUTEST lavender topiaries at Walmart this week. They are under $20 and really good sized. I posted them on Instagram stories and several people sent me their Walmart topiaries that were already blooming. I love the smell of lavender and summer.
3. All my littles, my nephews and niece graduated from different grades this year. One graduated from kindergarten. One graduated from 5th grade and one graduated from eighth grade. They didn’t have any graduation ceremonies at their schools, so we had one here just for our immediate family. There were rows of chairs and a podium and a commencement speaker (my brother) and a graduation song composed for the event (my husband) and a master of ceremonies (me). We even had programs and signage for where the graduates were supposed to sit. They walked across the stage (our back porch) and got their graduation certificates.
No flash photography was allowed at the event. 🙂
But we had two really good videographers (the twins).
4. You all were so sweet about the dresser project that I painted yesterday.
I made a video to go along with it. You can see the video here and follow along with my new YouTube channel here.
And now?
Here’s all the fun stuff I found for us this week across the interwebs.

Love that you all had a ceremony for the graduates!! What a special event đź’ś. Have a wonderful weekend!
Lynn, It was so much fun! I love my family. ;) Happy day! karianne
Hi-I don’t seem the lavender topiaries on your Instagram (which is beautiful btw) & I don’t see them on the Walmart website-the only one I see is $50?- could you kindly provide a link? Thanks so much!
Mary, I don't think they are linked on the website? We found ours at the garden center at Walmart. :) Hope this helps! KariAnne
Love the birds in your first picture. Still wondering when you are coming to Michigan to advise me in my decorating. ;)
Oh we could have all the Michigan fans get together!
So many fun things to explore today. I have never met an organizing idea I did not want to explore. Off I go to plan out my closet that houses my ironing board. Thank you, KariAnne! I love that your family had their own graduation/moving up ceremony for the kiddos. What a great idea!
What a fabulous graduation ceremony idea. Sounds like such a fun time by all and tons of memories for the children. Great finds this week too.
I can’t seem to find a description of the photo that looks like closets on each side of the French doors. Did I miss something?
Of course you would find a way to do a “almost real” graduation! I love it. What a memory maker.
KariAnne! How sweet of you to plan the special grad ceremony for your littles! They will always remember how special you made their day! Your family is precious and how great that everyone gets involved in these "special" events! Bless you, for being so special! You are precious to all your family -- and to us! We love you!
What a great idea to have a graduation for all those that would have. I know it made them feel very special as it should, for that is a wonderful achievement. You have a big heart, as I know Christ dwell in you.
What an exciting thing for you to do for all those little graduates! I just know they loved it and thought themselves "special" which they are! My granddaughter's graduation from HS is in July but we had a family party Saturday for her and it was so sweet. We do love that girl!
Oh that Ralph Lauren house tour...love, love!!! xoxo
Thanks so much for sharing my patriotic home decor post on your darling blog. xoxo
