Random thoughts on a cold almost Christmas morning:

1. The caroling party was last night. I don’t think you have lived until you have stood in a living room with 50 people divided into 4 groups playing Christmas charades all at the same time. The house was literally bursting at the seams with laughter and awkward pantomiming.

Christmas partying until the end of the decade.

2. I’m heading over to a house this morning to help pick out paint colors. It’s one of my favorite things. Especially when I’ve discovered my new favorite white, SW 7637 Oyster White.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you should check it out for 2020.

3. Can we also talk about how much I love typing 2020? You know it’s going to be a good year when the numbers sound cute.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We decorated the bathroom and took a tour of the house decorated at night and told the rest of a really good story and created a few last-minute gift wrapping ideas together on video.

Whew.

That was a lot for the week before Christmas.

And now?

Wait until you see all the amazingness I found for us this week.

This is such an inventive project for closet doors.

I’m making this in 2020.

And one more for the road

Thank you so much for all your sweet e-mails and comments about the Christmas lights at our house.

For everyone who asked about the outdoor lighting, I got it from one of my favorite sponsors on the planet, Lamps Plus. I cannot recommend it enough. It was so easy to install and the lights are on a timer. I just set them and forget about them.

I ordered two sets of these lights for each side of the house.

And then I got two floodlights for each corner of the house.

It makes me so happy when I drive up and the house is glowing at me. If you have any specific questions about the outdoor lighting, just e-mail me and I’ll send all the answers I have your way.

(disclosure: please note that Lamps Plus is a sponsor of mine, but all opinions are completely my own.)

happy random Saturday to you
