Random thoughts on a freezing cold football Friday evening:

1. I know I normally think all my thoughts on Saturday morning, but yesterday was too epic not to record.

2. We played the final football game of the season. It was for all the marbles. It was us against our cross-town rivals in the “Cross-town Showdown.”And the last playoff berth hung in the balance. Whoever won had bragging rights for the year and they would go to the play-offs.

And in AMAZING INCREDIBLE AWESOME NEWS.

WE WON.

It was so epic that I can’t even explain to you all the emotions. We were sitting on the 50-yard line surrounded by friends and family and watching one of the twins, Westleigh, cheer and the other twin, Whitney, dance.

And the best part? It’s where we went to high school, too.

So we already knew the fight song.

3. I danced and danced and DANCED the entire game. I was trying to stay warm and how can you not dance when you hear YMCA? Westleigh saw me in the stands and was surprised I knew it.

Surprised?

Umm. Please girl.

I was raised on singing about a place to go when you’re short on your dough.

4. And more football today. Baylor is 8-0. Fingers crossed we make it 9-0 today.

5. It was an amazing week on the blog. We won an award and showed up with a paper hostess gift and transformed a room with one simple thing and talked about all the Christmas projects.

And now?

Boy, oh boy! I sure do like a man with a little bit of facial hair. But, not TOO much that he can wear Christmas fairy lights in it... 😉. However, to each his own... 😝... Lol.

I so look forward to your Saturday Internet roundups! I work on the computer most of the day all week but try to keep myself from wandering too far afield. I tell myself, "Wait for Karianne's post on Saturday; that will be your reward!" So thank you -- you never disappoint! :)

How I miss all the years of watching our kids play in high school sports! Such a special time and gave us lots of good memories. I enjoyed visiting the links here, lots of good inspiration for the exciting months ahead. Thank you! Beard lights? Hilarious!

The beard lights are laugh-out-loud funny. Thank goodness, though, my hubby is (mostly) clean-shaven. KariAnne, have you noticed that the teens are all stealing OUR music? I tell my kids it's because *we* had the best era of music. Imagine you NOT knowing YMCA. Silly daughter of yours. :)

Well you did it again! Thank you for finding some great stuff. The tree ornament is perfect for neighbor gifts as is the cookie sacks. I'm thinking the beard lights would work great around a candle I have! I live in Pennsylvania but my neighbor went to Baylor and she's ready for another win. xoxoxoxo

WAIT! HOLD THE PRESSES!! What about that cute little paper and bead tree? Please tell me I don't have to make it myself...but it is so cute I just might.

Haha my son wore light up ornaments in his beard and his over the top Christmas sweater to last year's Christmas celebration. I guess he was ahead of the trend, I am glad to see it trending, I was scared I had messed him up from all those childhood years of Christmas pjs, santa hats etc.

I pinned this so I can make it once I get all the items. They are so stinking cute! Who wouldn't love to get such a gift. I'll probably cook my cookies and use the plastic baggie. Thanks so much for this tutorial, I'm an experienced seamstress so I'm good with the instructions.

GO LIONS!! Love love your old house and how you find such joy in everything! I am loving my fall and Christmas up too. But Fall is going bye bye VERY soon!

Congratulations on your football team win! Both high school and Baylor! My bonus son had a victory and a TD in his college game against the “cross town” rivals! Isn’t it a sweeter pill to swallow when the W goes to our column??? Love your Saturday round ups!!! ❤️

We all have our "first" houses and ours was a dump. I had a six-week old baby-worked full-time and thought we could remodel it in six weeks. It took 7 1/2 years!!!

I also love the white bead and snowflake tree - can you fill us in on how to make it or where we might be able to purchase it?

Whoot! Grats on the playoff win - my niece the cheerleader's team won Friday night playoff game too. Isn't it exciting?????? I didn't go because it was 22 degrees and I am just over being very sick. I love your cheer twin was surprised you knew YMCA, um yeah, buddy, Mom was first, ya know. Can't wait to go see all the Thistlekeeping things - one of my very fav blog posts of the week. Now to go make a nice hot cuppa and enjoy it on this chilly Sunday evening. Hugs.

Here’s my problem. Xmas stockings. Red, felt, with names that letters made with silver sparkles that are peeling off, bought in a mall many years ago. I want to change them to a cream and grey knit style, I also don’t want to spend a fortune. I’m also so guilty about changing them. I just need that little push. Thank you
