Remember the smocked burlap curtains?
*sigh*
Remember how much we loved them?
Remember how we wanted to wrap ourselves in burlap and paint the town?
Now you can make your own.
Seriously.
Days of Chalk and Chocolate has an amazing tutorial on how to make them.
Jenny, you are a rock star.
Jen from FourMarsOneVenus posted this easy tutorial on how to stencil a rug over at Hometalk.
She only paid $17.00 for the rug.
Which now looks like a million dollars.
Kate from Kate’s Creative Space posted this easy tutorial for chalk tag coffee cups.
Great tutorial….check.
Easy project….check.
Incredibly funny and talented blogger….check.
There are about 5,000 incredibly creative projects over at Compulsive Craftiness.
We are a little short on space over here at Thistlewood Farm.
So I had to pick just one.
Here’s a great tutorial on how to make your own rubber stamp.
In your spare time, be sure to check out the other 4,999 🙂
PS Did you see that giant Union Jack flag that they carried in the opening ceremonies last night?
When I saw it….all I thought of was this.
I wonder what the Olympic organizers would think of that 🙂
Great features Kari!!.....So much inspiration!!
I went over and pinned that Union Jack headboard, it looks great and gave me another idea on how to use pegboard. ~Bliss~
Thanks for sharing these blogs. I'm off to explore!

Hmmmm - maybe I'll give stenciling one more try using spray paint! Thanks for sharing. I need to cut down on my sleeping hours significantly so that I can check all this cool stuff out!!!
Okay, I just spent a half hour over at Kate's Creative Space ... totally sucked in by her humor, amazing projects, humor, beautiful photography, and did I say humor? :) me
Thank you so much for the shout out and share! I love all the other ideas, off to check them out!! What a GREAT way to start my Weekend..and it goes pretty dang fine with my starbucks this morning-- THANK YOU!!
You're so sweet - my flipping power went out last night - bad storm here - so I missed the whole dang thing! Totally going to make those chalkboard tag mugs - too cute!
Thanks for sharing all the great links!
Here's the problem. It's Saturday, I've been working all day but still have much on my to-do list. I open my laptop to list some things on eBay but saw your latest post on my Google reader and remembered that I didn't have time to look at it last night. Thought I'd take a quick peek, then get to work. Now I have multiple tabs so that I can pin all these great ideas... I will resist the temptation to graze in the pastureland of these blogs right now... must work... Maybe I'll get some chocolate to make the medicine go down easier. Thanks for sharing and making me feel creative, even when I have to set the creativity aside and work on mundane stuff this hot Saturday afternoon!
Cool stuff! So much great stuff out there to do - so little time to do it all!
When you say "Now you can make your own." you are not talking to me because we both know I am useless............lol
So many great ideas. So little time.
I may have a wee bit of curtain envy....why does my enthusiasm/skills ratio have to be off kilter. Thanks for your comments earlier, now have peach tree envy...sigh :)
Definitely pinning those smocked curtains. Thanks for sharing!
