Random thoughts on a rainy, stormy April morning:

1. I hope April showers bring May flowers.

2. We are working on installing a fountain in the backyard. The backyard has four sidewalks that lead to a center circle. Right now it’s full of monkey grass. It used to have a bird bath that collected leaves and mold and dirt and debris and then it fell over and cracked.

Good fountain times.

So in an effort to restore dignity to the back yard, we are adding a fountain. Pictures will be arriving soon.

3. I was never that into sports until I married a twinkling-eyed sports fanatic. And now? I’m counting the minutes until the final four tonight. Are you watching? Which teams are you rooting for?

4. This was a good week on the blog.  We talked about bullet journaling (my new favorite) and how to save money on a kitchen remodel and discovered that real life is lovely and listened to me laugh.

5. I’m speaking next week at the Pinner’s Conference in Atlanta and I’m wearing red lipstick and bell bottoms.

I missed them the first go-round, but I really, really like them now.

They help balance out my hips. 🙂

And now?

Let’s see what the internet has been up to this week.

Michigan State of course! Have to support the local team! I loved your comment about the bell bottoms! I wore them with white gogo boots back in the day! Hip hugger bell bottoms! Those days are over!

Wreck 'em Tech!! My daughter and a carload of college kids left the morning after her brother's wedding in Denton, headed to Minneapolis! Arrived this morning at 4 a.m. Oh, to be young again... It'll be SO fun, right up to that drive back to the metroplex tomorrow, then to Lubbock early Wednesday morning.
