Random thoughts on a cold December morning:
1. I went in to wake Zack up this morning and Buddy was fast asleep on his bed. I wanted to capture that picture in my heart forever.
2. Please tell me you are watching the Hallmark movie marathon, too. If you are please list your favorites (or just the plot) in the comments. I don’t want to miss any of the good ones. A Royal Christmas is one of my favorites.
3. I just found the perfect 20-foot garland at Lowe’s for only $7.00 and change. It was marked half-price. Hello front door.
4. We have an annual tradition in our hometown called The Parade of Lights. The parade route is about a mile long and it’s full of floats with lights. My kids are in it this year.
I’ll be on the sidelines with hot chocolate. 🙂
And now?
Here are my favorite links from around the planet.

Good Saturday Morning, my friend! I can't tell you how nice it is to have you back in my inbox! Lovely ideas, all of these and the pictures are amazing. I was especially captured by the Vintage Christmas but I have to laugh to myself anytime I see 'vintage.' Its such an odd feeling to realize you've lived long enough to know vintage when it wasn't. Vintage, that is. LOL That post reallllly took me back!
Dear Karianne I feel bad asking this, but...Is Buddy still with you? After reading your post and the comments from several days ago, I wasn't sure.
She mentioned, in the post, that Buddy was sleeping on the bed, with her son when she went to wake him/Zach.
Lovely ideas and lovely photos :D I'm totally inspired for the weekend. Thank you for sharing!
I'm watching a lot of Hallmark movies and anticipate seeing a lot more as I will be home bound after knee replacement surgery. I really liked The Christmas Train, new this year. It inspired me to go to the movie theater to see (again) Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie It's playing now.
I try to watch all of the Hallmark movies. Wishing you and yours a Blessed Christmas and a Happy,Healthy and Peace filled 2018. Marilyn
Bells of St Mary's with Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman Holiday Affair Arsenic and Old Lace with Cary Grant Bishops Wife all 4 classics and don't seem to be shown as often anymore and especially the first one, Enjoy.
Fun, as always. I think I want to own the "please leave by 9" banner (The Handmade Home). I almost snort-laughed with that one.
Loved all the ideas but the wreaths were especially beautiful. My favorite Hallmark movies are older ones: “The Christmas Card”, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, “A Princess for Christmas “. My hubby loves “Matchmaker Santa”. YES, I converted him to a Hallmark junkie a few years ago!
Love them all! Add “A Crown for Christmas”!
I love watching Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel just to see the beautifully decorated (set) homes! Tonight I watched The Christmas Cottage! Great decorating!
you are the best; you comfort my soul. Thanks for being real in a phony world. Blessings,
Love watching the Hallmark movies. Too many favorites this season. I can only imagine how one of their homes, cottages, farm houses, etc. would look if you were the designer. Wouldn"t that be awesome?
I have that black boot tray!! Running for Rustoleum!!! Glad Zack and Buddy areenjoying quality time together. xoxo
Hallmark Movie: The Nine Lives of Christmas (makes it sound like it's a cat-lover's movie, but it's not... awkwardness of the main characters is HILARIOUS and Brandon Routh is SOOOOOOO, SOOOOOO easy on the eyes!) And, I want a Lowe's garland for my door that only costs 7 bucks! Woot for you!
I love your posts. I like many of the Hallmark movies. One of my favs is LOVE AT THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE. It was from a few years back and the Hallmark channel only shows it a few times before Thanksgiving. I really like all the quirkiness of the characters in it and their chemistry. Another one that is fun is on Liftetime (on demand). It is THE 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS, I believe. My daughter and I watch that every year. A young woman (who isn't perfect) must redo her date with the guy from Save By the Bell until she gets it right. Everyday there are images of the 12 Days of Christmas gifts.
