This was one of the Christmas presents my sister gave my husband.

It’s a fundraiser from the local library called “Blind Date With a Book.”

Someone sets you up with a book you’ve never met.

You have no idea what the title or author and you have to guess what the book is about from the clues on the front of the wrapping.

Like “spacemen from earlier galactic history” or “would an alien culture’s doom prove the only way back to their own futures.”

Not sure if I want to date an alien book.

Now if it said “duke riding on horseback” or “cliffs of Cornwall”…

…I’m all in. 🙂

There are tons of planners floating around for the new year, but I think this one is the cutest.

I love the graphics and quotes and it’s FREE.

You can download the planner for FREE here.

And this cake stand?

Umm….hello clever.  Nice to meet you.

You can see the easy DIY here.

Looking for ideas for Valentine’s Day?

Wouldn’t those clipboards be the cutest with an “I LOVE YOU” note clipped to them?

See all the projects here.

And this space?

Seriously.

Those chairs.  That chunky throw.  That wall (which is made from peel and stick planks).

And in random news this week:

This made me think

This fudge in the shape of hearts

Prettiest entry I’ve ever seen

This coffee table makeover

Cute idea for Valentine’s

And if you want to start off 2017 with a beautiful before and after….

….this is one of my favorites.

Just a reminder…this offer ends tomorrow.

All this for FREE with your first $20 order (the prices on the site are incredible, too).  I would NOT steer you wrong on these scents.  I was grinning from ear to ear yesterday doing dishes with the way those bubbles smelled.  It was like a little winter refresh right there in the middle of the kitchen.

You can sign up here before the offer goes away tomorrow.

And be sure and let me know if your dishes make you smile. 🙂

I love the look of the whole room. I am really like the blue striped rug. Could you please share where you found it?

Random Saturdays are always so full of brilliant ideas and pretty things. I'm pretty sure I'm doing the yardstick project and redoing my trunk coffee table :-) Have I said it before? I love, love, love Random Saturdays. Happy Random Saturday!

I am so happy to have this Thistlekeeping today to keep me from running out to shovel snow! I love watching the falling snow; shoveling- not so much. It is my Grandson's third birthday, but the dinosaur party is being delayed by the snow. I really love your husband's "Blind Date With a Book" gift, what a novel idea (I couldn't resist that)! It is a marvelous way to raise funds for the library too. I am intrigued though- what book did he receive? I am taken with those peel and stick planks and wonder if they look as good as they do in the photo. Thank-you for this wonderful post, Thistlekeeping is always such fun to explore. P.S. I love the Meyer's products too!!
