jute pumpkins

I wanted to give a shout out to my guardian angel this morning.

Yesterday I drove to Wisconsin for a fabric trunk show.

I didn’t mind.  I like to drive.  I can think and plan and dream and have myself all to myself.

A couple of hours into the drive I noticed the tire panel.  It showed that one tire was getting lower and lower and lower.  Nothing to be alarmed about at first.  It wasn’t fast.  Just a little bit here and then there, but the number kept going down.

Then I got worried.

I called my husband.  I prayed.  I bit my lip.  I faithfully watched the numbers on the tire panel on the car until I got to the nearest tire store that my husband called for me.

I pulled in to the parking lot and got out of the car….

….and discovered a nail in the tire.

The whole tire has to be replaced they said.

I was so lucky they said.

I was so smart to have come right in they told me.

*sigh*

Good thing my guardian angel is used to working overtime. 🙂

So glad you didn't have a blowout! Got to love modern technology that lets us know about tire pressure and all. :-) Love all the goodies you shared. I'm off to check out the shelf decorating and tours and ... Happy weekend, KariAnne!

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one that still counts on our Guardian Angel. I think that all of these years with banked up prayers to thank God for my angel and my children's angels pays off. So glad you made it safely to your destination. Love your blogs and posts. I would love to bump in to you some day. Ever come to SW Ontario? ;)

Because you Believe! You know His Hand is on you. He loves you. We do, too. Beautiful photos. You can buy cookie cutter punches that are leaves and also rolled roses that you could cheat with a premade pie, if you are not into baking. They are for fondant, but work well with pie crust. Shhh....don't tell.

I would have a problem since my car is 17 1/2 years old and doesn't have the "tire" feature yours did. However, my Dad made sure all his daughters could change a tire! Love that you have a traveling angel...I have one too!

I'm so happy it all turned out okay! Tires are my nemesis. I hate checking them, changing them, rotating them, and most of all putting air in them. I'm usually one of those women who just does everything herself, but tires? Nope. I can't put air in them because I turn my head, scrunch my eyes, and mutter under my breath, "please don't pop, please don't pop, please don't pop". Glad your tire story has an uneventful ending. If I were in Wisconsin I would totally come see you. Nancy
