Y’all.

Y’all.

Y’ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

I’m literally sitting here in my jeans from Haven. We got home late last night and this morning I unpacked my suitcase and I put back on the jeans I wore at the conference. I couldn’t wash them.

Not yet.

They still feel like Haven. You know. It’s like when you were dating your boyfriend in high school and he gave you a carnation from the grocery store and you smelled it and looked at it and held onto until it wilted and turned brown and then you pinned it on your bulletin board. And every time you looked at that flower you got the feels. All over again.

That’s how I feel about these jeans. I think I’m going to keep wearing them until they wilt and turn brown and then I’m going to cut them up and put them on my bulletin board.

Haven was that amazing.

I actually have pictures to share. And inspiration. And creative ideas. And a story about a speech that ENDED IN A STANDING OVATION.

Can you see why I have to keep the jeans?

I’m in the middle of a living room makeover for my sister-in-law, but I wanted to stop in here to go all Hobby Lobby on you and talk about fall.

I know. It’s JULY. I get it. I understand. But as my father used to say….if we fail to plan, then we plan to fail.

So here are seven easy and simple fall projects to make now.

I know I said I would share later.

But this picture of me and the amazing Dena from Fletcher Creek Cottage just showed up in my Instagram feed and the look on my face is EXACTLY WHAT I LOOKED LIKE THE ENTIRE WEEKEND.

Have you ever seen anyone so happy?

She has the most amazing projects. Like this one. And this one. And THIS ONE that I’m going to try and make myself.

But NOTHING.

Nothing compares to this.

When we were leaving for Haven the twins handed me this note.

This is what keeps me going.

This is what makes my heart smile.

This is why I write my stories and tell my tales.

This is what is truly important.

Well.

This and maybe these jeans. 🙂

I was hoping for a picture of those jeans! Our children can certainly make us so proud sometimes, and then we know they are growing up and will be all right in this crazy world. You can keep that smile on your face all month if you want.

So, so, SO glad you had you had so many pinch me moments! Hope you ride on this cloud for a long time, friend! Love the fall ideas, but just can't bring myself , though it is my favorite season, to think about it right now. I'm wanting the summer to last just a little bit longer, but not the heat! Welcome home and hope your week is full of all sorts of reminders of your weekend, jeans included!
