I know this looks like the office at the Gatehouse.

It’s not.

It’s actually Santa’s workshop.

I’ve been sitting at that desk for four hours straight surrounded by wrapping paper and ribbon and tags and baker’s twine.

And a reindeer named Buddy.

And when the last gift was wrapped and the last tag was tied and the last present was tucked under the tree, all I wanted to do was go all mama in her kerchief and settle down for a long winter’s nap.

This is the part of the story where I want to tell you I had a burst of energy when I finished all the wrapping and cleaned it all up.

Except I didn’t.

I watched old episodes of Downton Abbey instead.

I actually forgot the mess was over there.

Hours passed.

Days went by.

The reindeer were fed and taken out for a walk.

I walked into the office the other day and saw all of this.

Mess with extra mess on top.

I’m not sure who I thought was going to clean it up.

Apparently all the elves were too busy.

So I picked up tiny pieces of paper and itty bitty strands of ribbon and the occasional pom pom ball.

I dusted.

I swiped.

I cleaned.

I swished.

And now?

And now Santa’s workshop looks like this.

It’s clean and tidy with packages tucked under the tree.

There’s even a sleeping reindeer.

I might not have had any elves to help….

….but I had this.

Endust is my go to cleaner.

And here’s why:

1. We have dogs and cats and people with muddy boots around here.  Endust has super powers when it comes to keeping all the extra pet hair and dust out of the house.

2. It doesn’t just remove the dust.  It cleans everything up, too.  Like fingerprints.  And hot chocolate drips.  And cookie crumbs.

3. I love the way Endust Lemon smells. It makes the entire house feel like I cleaned with citrus fruits.

4. I really, really, REALLY love the Endust duster.  I use it on all those frames on the wall.  I know that wall might look like a dust magnet.  It is.  But it’s no match for Endust.

5. There’s no residue left behind when you use Endust.  Only extra shine.

Does your Santa’s Workshop need a little extra help with cleaning?

KariAnne you are a fabulous story writer. I thought while reading this "how in the world is she going to insert Endust into the storyline, but yup you did." And you did it to perfection!!! I, too love Endust and use it before, during and after Christmas to pick up the glitter that only the just right amount of sun at the correct angle can spot.

  39. Image for Linda Linda

Well I know what you mean about dust....and dog hair since I have these two Goldens too....loved your Golden on the floor ! Dusting is an event to behold !

  40. Image for Susan Susan

See, it didn't go anywhere. It was right where you left it ? You needed to rest first. I don't love to dust but since it is inevitable, I do like a good product to help me with it. Thanks for the chance. Merry Christmas!????

  41. Image for Tracey Tracey

I love the fresh, clean feel of a recently cleaned room. I love your blog.It always makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. Love you and your sweet family. Merry Christmas!

I have a big fluffy black dog and a black cat and I need Endust desperately! I love your posts; they always make me smile.

  46. Image for grammy goodwill grammy goodwill

We have houses currently under construction and I swear all that dust sneaks under my closed windows and into the house. Everything stays dusty. I would use the Endust to help me keep all of that under control. Thanks for the chance to win.

  47. Image for Mona Martinez Mona Martinez

I love my Endust duster! With the library being the room I use for wrapping presents in, I get to give my books some extra attention.

  48. Image for Lynn Fowler Lynn Fowler

Karianne, you are a hoot! Love you. I even find myself telling friends and family "You should see what my friend Karianne did", and then I`m like all "Well not my friend, actually...."! I would for sure use the lemon scented Endust. Makes everything smell great.

  49. Image for NormaJean NormaJean

I have been an Endust fan for years. I love the way it causes your cleaning cloth to pick up the dust instead of just releasing it into the air, only to have it settle back down on your previously cleaned surfaces!

  50. Image for Ana Maria Ana Maria

I LOVE your blog! I just finished wrapping too. Everything is under the tree and I'm catching up on all my emails. It's a chilly 74 degrees her in Miami and the forecast calls for 80s all the way through Christmas Day. So I lowered the AC and made myself a delicious cup of cranberry tea. I wish I had some Endust! I'm going to go buy some first thing tomorrow morning!

  51. Image for Dawn K Dawn K

I will be going through gallons of Endust getting ready for our family and friends Christmas Eve we are hosting this year! Your workshop looks amazing! Would love to win :)

  52. Image for Beth Burr Beth Burr

I'll surely need something to clean all the magic dust (glitter) left by the Great Saint Nick who always arrives just after midnight, Christmas Eve. He is always welcome, but oh my does he leave plenty of mess when he pops in. The tracks start at the front door, and stop in the living room by the fireplace I think to catch his bearings, then more tracks to the base of the Christmas tree and encircles it. (We think he is looking or "his" ornament)! Then the tracks continue into the kitchen and right up to the fridge for milk, and the leftovers! Did you know he likes leftovers! Then the tracks of magic dust continue all the way to the back door and right out to the driveway! We think he has a hole in his pocket because there is always a puddle of magic by the back door, and all over the door knob, and another big puddle in the driveway. He disappears as quietly as he arrives as he does every year. Merry Christmas to the Crafters and their families everywhere, and at least one nightcap of Bailey's so Mom can sleep TIGHT!

  53. Image for Leslie Leslie

My home is screaming for some Endust love...the elves look like they took a break and lost their way back...hope it gets done before Christmas!! Love that Merry Christmas sign and I would like to request to borrow that sweet reindeer resting on that gorgeous the way...I'd gladly hire you to help finish things here!!

  54. Image for Eloise Fitzsimmons Eloise Fitzsimmons

My granddog and cat are coming for the holidays. I'll need all of the Endust I can get to get ahead of them.;)

  55. Image for beverly e beverly e

I loved your gif cleaning demo... Wish I could clean that f a s t! I always use Endust on my dust mop for cleaning my wood floors. Thanks for the giveaway!

  56. Image for Cathy Farmer Cathy Farmer

I need to clean my crafting room bad! The floor is almost invisible under the mountains of craft supplies I pull out and don't put back, maybe Endust would motivate me to work on it.

I will put endust to use in my tv room / puzzle book room to dust bookshelves as I add more items to read & pictures to see.

  58. Image for Bonnie W. Bonnie W.

How would I use Endust? Absolutely on all my baseboards where the dust and hair can accumulate from my darling, loved companions. The ceiling fans would be next. Then time for a cookie break before continuing on to dust the furniture. I would love to try the Endust Duster! How does it work on venetian blinds?

  59. Image for April April

Endust duster sounds perfect for all those stair railings! And the lemon scent would remind me of my mom cleaning when I was little--such a fresh smell that screams clean!

  60. Image for Lori Lori

Endust would come in very handy this year. We already own a beautiful Chocolate Lab and we just recently got a new Brittany Spaniel Puppy! He is precious too but my daily cleaning habits have doubled! I'm having a hard time keeping up with the dog hair! Endust, save me!!! (Oh, and the two college kids are home for Christmas). Need I say more? ?

  61. Image for Doreen Doreen

I just love Santa's workshop! If Endust can make MY workshop sparkle in the same way I'm in! Holiday decorations and people coming and going can sure stir up the dust. Endust would surely help with furniture, woodwork, and the railings. Did you create the outstanding Merry Christmas wall hanging? If so, which I'm sure is another example of your many talents, would you kindly pass along directions? Thanks a bazillion! I've no doubt Endust would also keep the shine on that sign! Merry Christmas.

  62. Image for Sally Sally

I plan on using Endust To clean up Santa's sewing room. After sewing and quilting the many Christmas pillows and gifts there is thread and dost every where. Endust will be the perfect helper in making the room shine.

  63. Image for Cheryl Bell Cheryl Bell

I love your blog Karianne, it makes me smile every morning! And Santa's workshop is beautiful even with all of the wrapping disarray. I haven't used Endust in a very long time, but your blog made me want to give it a try. Especially with our 2 fur babies, an Aussie and Border Collie & Aussie mix who are shedding like crazy right now. The product I've been using is kind of oily and the fur just sticks to it making all the surfaces a mess! Thanks for the new cleaning tip, I'll be trying Endust soon!

  64. Image for Megan Lacey Megan Lacey

I love your Santa's workshop! It's so cheery, even with all the wrapping left around! I've been looking for a new cleaner, because mine just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. I'll have to look into Endust! But, seriously. I'm in love with that Merry Christmas circular art on your back wall!

  65. Image for Nancy Nancy

I use Endust all the time. It's my favorite cleaning product because it actually helps repel dust in the future, so I am cleaning in some sort of homemaker timewarp. Like you, I like the fragrance, which is pleasantly citrus but not obnoxiously fake. I have a big hutch decorated with lots of Christmas doo-dads, and I use Endust to clean it, so the candlelight and twinkling string lights illuminate my cut-glass and NOT my free-floating dust particles. Endust on a soft cloth (I tear up old flannel sheets for dust cloths) is an easy way to make my home sparkly!

  66. Image for Beth kimbler Beth kimbler

For some reason I have a hard time finding Endust around here. With I house full of cats, I always have hair and dust around!

  67. Image for Jane Jane

Santa's elves did not drop by our home either. I plan to use Endust and elbow grease to clean up all the renovation dust in our 104 year old home. I love your writing style and can not wait for your book!

  68. Image for Betsy Betsy

How funny is this......I was dusting with Endust when I thought to myself "Break Time"! I then clicked on your blog to see what was going on : ). I firmly believe that my neighbors send all their dust down the street to my house. Where does it all come from!!! xoxoxoxo

  69. Image for Karen Simon Peterson Karen Simon Peterson

I love Downton Abbey, too! You've reminded me it's time to watch it again. We have alot of antique wood furniture in our house and use Endust to keep it clean. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  70. Image for Tina Carpenter Tina Carpenter

I have used Endust for 1.1 million years it seems. I love that it doesn't leave a waxy build up!!!! I've always had indoor pets, currently 2 cats & Endust works the best. I use the Endust dry dusters every week for light/medium dusting and the floor dusters on my laminate wood flooring, it picks up so much cat hair, dirt, dust & crumbs. Merry Christmas

  71. Image for Teresa Denney Teresa Denney

I have used endust but never knew about the dusters. On a mission to find them. We have a dog too and need this desperately to keep dog hair under control

  72. Image for Karyn Karyn

Ahhh Endust can help me clean all the things! Especially my black furniture that IS a dust magnet! Haha! Cleaning is actually a great stress reliever for me but I like it to look amazing when I'm done and Endust can help it look spectacular (I've never seen the dusters cool)! Merry Christmas Karianne!

  73. Image for Debbie Clauer Debbie Clauer

I haven't used Endust for years. I remember that it smells really good. I have birds and dogs, feathers and hair. Think I will buy a can next time at the store.

  74. Image for Peg Peg

I already use Endust!! I love that it doesn't leave a film. Love you in the clip and your little flats! So cute!!! : )

  75. Image for Karen Karen

I love Endust and use it all the time to help keep our house clean. It seems like the house is always extra dirty and dusty with all the extra decorations, trees trimmings out this time of year! Thanks and hope you have a great Christmas! Karen

  76. Image for Ashleigh Hall Ashleigh Hall

Well, seeing that we have at least 7 kids in our house at any given time, I have plenty of little fingerprints, drips, spills and just over all dust. Endust to the rescue please!! Thanks for such a great chance to win!

  77. Image for Sharon H Sharon H

I am highly allergic to dust mites! With Endust I would wipe those little suckers up! Lol I would love to win a Endust kit and Visa gift card! Thanks for the opportunity!

  78. Image for Linda Southworth Linda Southworth

Careful, precise dusting with ENDUST when you have your Christmas cheer out on the shelves. After a few weeks its time for the ENDUST and time to shine for Christmas!

    1. Image for Tina Matteson Tina Matteson

Love this!!! And... I'd use Endust to dust the picture frames, like you and keep all the kitty hair out... our kitty is black and short-haired and doesn't shed too much, but still, there is fur in her favorite sleeping spots!

  79. Image for M.J. Moore M.J. Moore

I think Endust would be amazing to help deal with all the post-Christmas morning debris-you know, all the tiny bits of tags and ribbons and stuff. Maybe help with the glitter after New Year's Eve? :)

  80. Image for Creatively Living (Holly) Creatively Living (Holly)

I'm starting in on a kitchen reno for Christmas! The first part especially will get pretty messy and dusty. I'd definitely use it to clean up my shelves and make them pretty again, and my counters, floor, baseboards... :-)

  81. Image for Anita Jackson Anita Jackson

Endust is a timeless product! I remember momma using it when I was a little child and I still use it today! Cleaning all my lovely furniture will be on top of my list during the holidays!

  82. Image for pam smith pam smith

I love using Endust too! We just moved into a new-to-us home and after taking down the popcorn ceiling, there is dust everywhere! We need Endust to the rescue! Have a very Merry Christmas!

  83. Image for susan b susan b

I didn't know Endust made one with no smell! I'll definately be cleaning - my husband bought a pellet stove - now my house feels like an oven AND has dust everywhere! But on the blessing side - we are warm! Merry Christmas!

  84. Image for Nicole B. Nicole B.

I would use the Endust products to clean and dust around the tv, fan and in the living room. Anywhere I need it before the guests arrive!

  85. Image for Dorothy Russell Dorothy Russell

Ok, so I'm at work right now viewing one of my favorite YouTube channels "athomewithnikki" and she gave me some great cleaning ideas using your products for my first holiday party at home. When I get off work this morning, I'm going to my local Wal-Mart to buy your stainless steel spray. Thank you Endust for these great products and thank you Nikki for your helpful videos.

  86. Image for Kathy Kathy

I use Endust all the time, especially in my entry way and staircase where our guests first arrive. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
