A person with long blonde hair, wearing a striped sweater, stands in a kitchen holding a baking tray of freshly baked peanut butter cookies. They are smiling, and the background features a stove and white tile backsplash.

I am all about a reality television show.

But, y’all?

I can’t with the eating competitions.

You know–when there’s a “eat-the-weirdest-thing-you-can-find-on-the-island” challenge.

Yuck and double yuck.

The contest starts with something simple like prickly cactus and before you know it they are eating something that’s moving.

Could you? Would you? Eat something that made your eyes and your stomach roll?  Could you take the challenge for a million dollars?

Not me.

Nope.

Not even a little.

I would have to turn in my scarf and wave goodbye to my fellow island mates and hop on the next helicopter to the mainland.

I mean, really.  I like what I eat to be sweet or savory…..

…..and preferably not moving. 🙂

Good thing I have a few amazing recipes for you today.

Here are nine of the BEST fall recipes to start your week off with a yum.

A bowl of crunchy granola with nuts and spices, served as a wholesome breakfast option.

The Ultimate Granola

Are you a breakfast or dinner person?

Or a person who likes breakfast for dinner.

If you do, come sit by me. And there’s nothing cozier for fall than this homemade granola.

My mother used to make granola like this when I was younger and it just makes me so happy.

You can see the recipe here.

A plate of freshly baked cookies on a blue and white ceramic cake stand, with a matching plate, a glass of milk, and a white pitcher in the background, placed on a patterned tablecloth.

These Snickerdoodle Cookies

These are the tried and true snickerdoodles that I’ve shared before.

So many of you baked them and emailed me about how good they were that I had to share again.

They are chewy inside and just a little crispy on the outside.

You can see the snickerdoodle recipe here.

This is the yummiest bread.

It has nuts and rasins and it’s so filling.

A stack of three scrumptious no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars with a rich chocolate layer on top, sprinkled with crushed peanuts, presented on an elegant black and white floral patterned plate.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars

They are so yummy and the best part?

They are totally no-bake.

Pumpkin Pie

“Real Pumpkin” Pumpkin Pie

This is one of the recipes I made with my friend at the farmhouse in Kentucky.

I don’t know why I thought pumpkin came from a can.

Until I saw her make pumpkin pie from a pumpkin.

And it’s so good.

My Mother’s Cranberry Bread

No list of fall recipes would be complete without my mother’s recipe for cranberry bread.

This is the bread that she’s made for me and the neighborhood for as long as I can remember.

It’s so good and now I made it every year, too.

You can see the cranberry bread recipe here.

This Gingerbread House

This is the easiest gingerbread house recipe.

I made it with a pan that looks like a house and a boxed mix.

So easy and cute for fall.

Wait.

I changed my mind.

I think I like an eating contest.

But only if it’s to see what the coziest recipe is for fall.

That’s my kind of contest. 🙂

KariAnne, Thank you for these wonderful fall recipes! I agree pumpkin pie made with “real” pumpkin is the best and definitely worth the little extra work (cooking the pumpkin). I don’t remember ever buying a pumpkin for fall that didn’t eventually meet my freezer. This pie recipe is different than any I have made and sounds delicious. Your recipe mentions Eagle Brand Milk - I does that mean Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk? Definitely going to give this one a try 🎃! Thank you, Barb

Love the recipes! I’m salivating just reading them! I too dislike eating contests (with the exception of trying several new recipes 💕) Ugh to the grossest things people can think of and the stuffing their face with the 500 hot dogs, etc. in 60 seconds! I am going to try the little bread pumpkins. I hope mine turn out as cute as yours! 🥰

Happy Fall Karianne - I love all the recipes especially the Walnut Raisin Pumpkin Bread - that sounds scrumptious!. I plan to make those beautiful pumpkin rolls and so easy. I have a time saver for you - a 3 or 4 ingredient peanut butter cookie - 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of PB, 1 egg and a little vanilla if you choose. Mix it all up roll into balls and press down with a fork to make the crosshatch design. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Delicious - hope you like it.
