Looking for some last-minute Halloween decorating ideas on a budget? Here’s some Dollar Store Halloween Decor I found for only $7.

Dollar Store Halloween Decor

It’s a fact.

I like my Halloween a little bit un-spooky.  Now don’t get me wrong.  I like a boo or an eek or a yikes as much as the next person.

A little bit of scare is fine with me.

A few spiders and a creepy bat and some spider webs draped here and there and I’m all set.

I just need a little Halloween to tide me over until Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Not too much.

That’s why I went all Dollar Store Halloween Decor on this table and created it for only $7.

Want to see how I did it?

Let’s go.

Dollar Store Halloween Decor spider bowl

Here are the items on my shopping list.

This purple spider web bowl for $1.

There were also some cute spider web chargers, too.

Dollar Store Halloween Decor place mats

Four of these placemats for $1 each.

They are cute, but not really that Halloweeny.

No worries.

I spiderwebbed them up.

And two bags of these spiders for $1 each.

Grand total: $7 + tax.

And here’s how I transformed them.

I started with the placemats.

I flipped them over because they were all white on the back.

They are a foam material that works perfectly with sharpies.

I started by using a ruler and a sharpie to draw straight lines on either side of the placemat.

These are going to become two spider webs.

I drew the lines about 3 inches apart.

Next, using a ruler, draw the lines in between the straight lines to mimic a web.

DO NOT over think this.

Truly.

You just want to have fun.

I made four of these placemats in about 20 minutes or about one episode of Judge Judy.

Here’s a glimpse of the final placemats on the table.

The spiders were spray painted silver and added them to the webs.

And then?

These branches from the yard were spray painted black.

I added them to a vase and tucked more spray painted spiders into the branches.

The silver looks amazing against the black.

Lastly, I took the purple bowl and spray painted it black.

I just added it to the table and tucked a felted wool pumpkin and some spiders into it.

You can see how to make these pumpkins here.

And that’s it.

Here’s the entire table setting.

This is what $7 spent at the Dollar Store can look like.

And it’s only a little spidery.

Not too much.

How about you?

Do you like your Halloween creepy or cute?

This looks SO GOOD! I was skeptical when I first saw what you purchased, but I should have remembered you're KariAnne and can make something from almost nothing! ;) Turned out amazing! So classy with a dash of boo! My favorite!

This is so great! I love Halloween and decorating for it can be expensive. This is a reminder that it doesn't have to be--and it really does look fabulous!

Cute and creative! I skip Halloween....I spent last evening clearing out all the real spiderwebs! There seems to be an over abundance of them this year! However, they weren’t nearly so cute as your silver ones!😀

So adorable! Love that you spray painted the bowl and spiders. Like you, I love fall decor and not Halloween so much. You added some whimsy and "fancied" up the Dollar Tree items. Love it! Best, Kim

Perfect!!! Depends on what I am doing- if giving a Halloween party then I go semi-scary. Normally my husband does lights and mildly spooky in the yard (full sized skeletons sitting in the chairs), some crows on the pumpkins.... he basically adds over the top of my autumn decor outside. Inside I keep it autumn. This year nothing is planned so we are only scaring up the front-a little!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're a genius. It looks amazing. I love the black and white napkins. I was thinking when I saw the purple web, how in the world is she going to use that? I'm enjoying the latest book and I can't wait for your Facebook group. I was talking it up to my mastermind group of bloggers.

I'm not into scary either. I love this, such a cute tablesetting. I did my front porch with all things Dollar Store too. They do have quite a few things to choose from.

You are really all about the spiders for Halloween, aren't you? I have tucked a couple in my granddaughter's lunch this week, she loves it. These are the only kind of spiders I want at my table! I love the budget for this project, too!

This is so tasteful AND budget friendly! A little Halloween is just fine. Now to hide the candy from myself. HA. Thanks for sharing this. I will check out Dollar Tree again.

You are too clever! Confession: I saw that purple bowl, and thought, just no. But painted black, now that's better! (And hey, I love purple. Just not purple spider bowls.) You're so creative and a whiz with spray paint! :)

Oh, I hope this isn’t too silly a question: Do you use a certain kind of spray paint, on the plastic items? (How about for when you spray paint a ceramic item?). Thanks so much for your terrific ideas - I love sooo many of them!
