I don’t even know where to begin with this post.

Truly.

I’m finger-typing-tied.

So let’s start at the beginning (a very good place to start) with random thoughts and all the things going on around here:

1. Have you seen the Christmas at Target yet? SERIOUSLY. It’s the coziest and the cutest and I’ll show you what I just ordered and what I’m about to order (I have to pace myself) in this post. I shared it now because everything goes SO fast and once it’s gone they don’t usually restock.

2. I’m starting a fun series for the first 12 days of November with my sweet friend Leslie that is all about getting you ready for Christmas. Here are just a few of the days and what we’ll be sharing:

  • how to repurpose last year’s decor
  • ways to display and recycle old Christmas cards
  • how to organize your wrapping center
  • how to stock your pantry for the holidays
  • 25 things to do with your family for the holidays

And tons more simple, clever things to get you (and your house) ready for the holidays. It starts this Sunday, so make sure you are subscribed to e-mail to not miss a day.

3. I also put together a fun FREE 2 page Christmas downloadable checklist to get you ready for the holidays.

4. There are Christmas candles burning in the house mixed in with fall candles. It’s the best smell in the world.

4. I’m having a GREAT hair day today and a cute outfit and I’ve lost 33 pounds. Watch out world.

And now?

Let’s see what’s in my shopping cart and what I found for us and give you the link to the free printable.

Here’s just a snippet of what I found (and ordered at Target).

It’s SO CUTE.

And so inexpensive.

The theme for the back family room is Snowy Winter’s Eve.

I’ll do an unboxing video when it all shows up, but here are a few links just for you.

Let’s start with these houses.

I have some white houses already and I’m mixing these in.

I love the church and this taller house.

I’m mixing in the houses with cotton batting and making a Christmas village of wood and white.

These white houses and this white barn are going behind the couch on the table.

I’m going to stack them on books at different heights.

Then I’m adding a battery-operated candle to them for lighting.

I’m creating a mini forest of these trees on the side table.

They come in different heights and sizes.

I may end up just going with the green, but I ordered the tinsel trees to try too.

And look at these stocking holders.

There’s a wood and white church and a wood and white house and I ordered two of each one.

I have the cutest vintage stockings I’m hanging from them.

Here’s just a few of the greenery and wreaths I’m ordering.

I love the vintage look of this garland and this garland.

This wreath and this garland have the best layered greens I could find.

And this JOY wreath is so pretty (and it lights up).

And I saved my favorite for last.

This wooden advent calendar house actually came from Home Depot.

It should be here by Saturday. I can’t WAIT to show you what it looks like in person.

You can see it here.

I can smell November y’all.

And I am so excited and READY.

Who’s with me?

To get us both ready for all the excitement and merriment that is to come?

Here’s a free downloadable Christmas Checklist (just click on the link below to print it).

We got this friend.

Here’s to the merriest, happiest, jolliest holiday season ever.

And let me be the first person to wish you….

…Merry Christmas.

PS And just in case you were wondering what my hair looked like. 🙂

I ordered several of the ceramic White House’s two weeks ago to supplement the others I got last year. Added two ceramic white trees this year. Love them. You look terrific and should be so proud of yourself. I noticed the Christmas checklist doesn’t say when to put up the tree. Since this year has lasted FOREVER I am ready to put up today. BTW, where did you get the wall hanging you are standing in front of?

Dear KariAnne, Your joy in being healthy is palpable. Hurrah for you!!! I printed your amazing Christmas list and will follow some of it. However, it will be Covid Cautious Christmas while loving family and friends with masking and distancing. Have you thought about a Christmas countdown for those of a certain age and more vulnerable to Covid? I'd love to have one that reflects your amazing creativity. I'm ordering the joy wreath as soon as I sign off. Joyful love to you, Diney on Camano Island

I wanted to buy so many of these inexpensive cute little houses at Target yesterday, but resisted the temptation since I already have too many decorations for Christmas. They had black and white ceramic sets, wood, and some tin metal. They would make such an adorable village no matter what your home decor. The bottlebrush trees were nice too. I highly recommend getting them for others though!

Karianne, Wow!! Congratulations girl on your weight loss. You look great and 33 pounds is no easy feat. I have lost 6 and it mainly came from cutting out sugar and sweets. I was just in my local Target the other day found some Christmas goodies in the dollar bins at the front of the store. Mostly some cute bottlebrush trees. They were just setting up the Christmas section so I cant wait to go back and see all the Christmas goodness.

You are looking great! Thirty-three pounds is a real achievement. So happy for you. Congrats. I dashed in Target the other day and they have the cutest small Christmas trees for $3 each, you know in that section near the entrance through which you just have to detour? I got one, but think I'll get one or two more if they haven't sold out when my next Social Security payment hits the bank.

I went to Target after reading your blog and seeing all the cute things you showed us. The $1 spot was practically empty and they had barely begun putting out the Christmas stuff back in the Christmas Dept. So disappointing!!! I did come away with a couple of houses, the flocked 5foot garland, and some small bleached sisal trees. I am ordering a couple of things online, hoping I will receive them. Thanks for all the Christmas info to get us started and excited and CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You look great and I know all us readers are proud of you. Sic'em Bears!

Hi Lady! Can you share your Christmas Stockings? I’ve been searching for new ones and haven’t been able to find what I want. Of course, it’s one of those “I’ll know it when I see them” kinda thing. Lol :-)
