Blogging is a two-dimensional media.

A blogger writes and a reader reads.

I talk like I write so I’m always trying to make my voice heard. I CAPITALIZE WORDS WHEN I’M REALLY EXCITED. I italicize words when I’m wondering or wistful or agreeing or confused. I use stand alone words when I’m incredulous. Like seriously? Or really? I’m always *sighing* or rolling my eyes or adding total asides or extra exclamation points.

It’s all in an attempt to make the words talk.

Or leap off the page.

Or become more than just an a or a b or a c.

But what if?

What if I could READ the story to you?

What if I could put the laughing or the sadness or the inflection or the joy or the wonder that I’m trying to create with these simple letters on a page?

Have you ever wondered what a post sounds like?

Oh, good.

Then this is the place for you.

I took four of my favorite posts and recorded them.

You can visit the post through the link where I’ve added the audio link to each story.

Did it sound like you thought it would?

Really?

I hope so.

Because recording these stories?

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

PS  I wish I could record a smile. 🙂

This is so charming! My only suggestion is to buy a windscreen to place in front of your mic if you are using an auxiliary mic - it will soften the "p" pops......otherwise? Lovely.

Hearing your voice tell these precious stories is wonderful. But the funny thing is I hear your voice in my head EVERY time I read your stories. Because you write YOU! That’s what I 💕 about your blog. You go rockstar!!

I loved "hearing" your blog - and your giggles are so priceless. But I feel I must say this: YOU don't NEED audio. At least for me I HEAR you in your amazing writing - your skills with the written word speak to me. So it was adorable to hear - but certainly not necessary if you didn't want to do it. You really are that good. Best in blogland, KA - and always have been the creme de la creme....even if is an oozing blue good kinda creme. Hugs to your hubs - what a guy. ♥

Hearing you read the words you wrote...and the giggles.....made me giggle!! My oh my, God has blessed you beyond means...beauty, talent, and a precious family. Thank you for sharing !

I loved this!! So much more meaningful to hear you and not just read your words! The story about your son and his favorite song brought tears to my eyes. As the mother of two very adult children, it is still amazing to realize occasionally, that you did something right. That they do reflect their childhood and the family’s influence. Thank you.
