Have you ever played the game of “Would You Rather?”
There’s an actual board game sold in stores with over 800 questions.
Or.
Or you could make up your own and enter into thought-provoking discussions with your family on a road trip.
Questions like:
Would you rather have a million dollars or a year of really good hair days?
Would you rather speak in front of 4,000 people or wear a frog costume for a month?
Would you rather have wisdom or would you rather have strength?
Would you rather have purple hair or purple toenails?
See how fun?
See how thought provoking?
And now here’s one more: would you rather make projects or make projects?
Oh good. Me, too.
Here are five unique book page projects to keep both of us busy. 🙂
Here’s an easy wreath I made with book page leaves.
But you could make one with shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day.
Or stars for the Fourth of July.
Here’s a garland I made with book page paper.
It’s easy to make and I included tips on how to style a mantel on a budget.
Here’s a unique book page idea.
Book page sculptures.
You can see all the book page sculptures here.
And read about the book that turned over a new leaf here.
Flowers from books are popular.
I use them for a little texture when I decorate for spring.
And my favorite book page project?
How to fold a book into Kentucky.
Or any state you want.
And one more for the road.
How to make your books look even cuter.
PS Here are my answers:
1. I’d rather have a year of really good hair days.
2. I’d rather speak in front of 4,000 people.
3. I’d rather have wisdom.
4. I’d rather have purple toenails. Purple is my jam. 🙂
Purple is also my jam! The book page possibilities are endless. Ciao for now
Last year I stopped at the Texas Antique Fair and a lady was cutting up paper from books making flowers, they were beautiful. Love your ideas too.
They say you can lose yourself in a book!! Oh, but look what you've found!! LOVE!!!
Great ideas and great answers (same as mine :))!!!!
When you say..."Oh Good, me too"...it makes me happy! :) And, yes to purple toes and speaking in front of people who would rather hear wisdom then see strength...but a million dollars sure could pay for a lot of 'perfect hair days'. :)
Our answers are the same! I've done a couple of those projects. The state book page looks fun, but, I live in Wyoming!!! ?
haha, I think I'd rather wear the frog costume. :) But then again, a whole month would be awkward. lol. hm, I have old books just waiting for a project. You got my wheels turning! Happy day to you, my friend!
Ha! Purple is my new jam!! I bought purple glasses frames that go well with my green eyes and grey hair lol. Other thoughts: Love, love, love the Would You Rather game - thinking of creating that for one of next year's Christmas gifts to my kids and their families (might stimulate their minds and steer them away from their electronics lol). And I love the book page art - thinking of a personal celebratory book page art marathon with my Real Estate Agent textbooks after I pass the exam!
I answered almost the same. . . . but I wanted the million dollars as hair is over rated and mine is straight so I can live w/that! Now the million I could probably live w/too---and do some good in the journey!
You could shave me bald for a million dollars.
My favorite is that Kentucky book! Love! I'm with you on everything but number 1...I'll take the million dollars and either hire a daily stylist or buy a wig!!! Keep on inspiring!!!
Love book page ideas. I did see diy for the flower on the book. Very interested in making that one.
You are not old enough to wear purple - I'm sure it should read pink?!?! Or have you already started banging your walking stick against bannisters? Lol. I love purple, too, but in a subdued way, so I'd be in the toe nails group. Oh, and I think there's quite a difference between saying "I like to do PROJECTS!" and "I like to DO projects!" I'm sure everyone here is for no. 2. DH is always in for no. 1. There's a problem with finishing though. Just for a laugh ...
I love that Kentucky book page art. That is super cool! Definitely need to make that for my mantel. Thanks for sharing your round up with us at Merry Monday this week!
