Looking for some fun Valentine’s Day home decor ideas to decorate with? Here are 9 creative ideas to add a little heart to your home.
Did your mother ever make your Valentine’s Day card holder by cutting up the cereal box?
Mine did.
If I squint, I can almost see her in the middle of the kitchen taking out the wax paper liner and taping the box closed, cutting a hole in the top and covering it with wrapping paper and ribbon.
I’d take it to school and bring it home bursting at the seams with princess valentines and lollipops. At the risk of stating the obvious? It was amazing.
I’ve been in love with Valentine’s Day ever since.
If you want to add a few hearts to your home, today I’m joining eight blogging friends (some you may not have met before) to share a little Valentine’s Day decorating inspiration.
Today I’m sharing 9 creative Valentine’s Day home decor ideas.
Cereal box not included.
8 Creative Valentine’s Day Home Decor Ideas
Here’s a fun collection of projects and DIYs. All projects are linked in the description.
1. No-Sew Valentine’s Day Heart Pillow
The only thing better than a Valentine’s Day home decor project?
Is one that’s no-sew.
This no-sew pillow project does NOT involve a needle or thread and you can make it in under an hour. It would be such a fun project for a ladies’ event or get-together.
You can see the heart pillow project here.
2. Valentine’s Day table setting with vintage dishes
This beautiful table was created by my sweet friend Ann from Dabbling and Decorating.
She found these vintage Wedgewood dishes at a vintage store and designed this beautiful table.
Every detail is so pretty (and wait until you see her home in the snow).
See all the table details and TONS of pictures here.
3. This beautiful heart wreath
Isn’t this heart wreath so pretty (that arrow—seriously)?
It was designed by one of my favorite people, Renae from Peacock Ridge Farm (have you seen her new outdoor barn)?
She shows you the step-by-step including how to add foam to a wire form.
You can see the DIY for this Beautiful Heart Wreath here.
4. These felted mini heart pillows with love notes
This adorable project comes from the awesome Kelly from the Tattered Pew.
The tiny hearts are stitched and then she stitched a heart pocket on the front and tucked in love notes.
They are the perfect party favor or sweet gift to tuck into a card.
You can see the DIY for these felted heart pillows with love notes here
5. Vintage Valentine Heart Wreath
This vintage paper project was created by a new sweet friend, Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Road.
Her blog is so pretty.
She created this vintage Valentine heart from supplies she had in her craft stash (her stash looks so much better than mine).
This is such a creative project and you can see the DIY for the Vintage Valentine Heart Wreath here.
6. Grapevine heart wreath
This wreath was created by the incredible Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill (who is HILARIOUS).
I had no idea you could make a heart from grapevine until Jennifer showed how with her project.
This wreath is such a pretty Valentine’s Day project with its greenery and tiny flowers.
You can see the DIY for the grapevine heart wreath here.
7. Heart pillow from fabric scraps
This pretty heart pillow was created by my amazing friend Rachel (who put this entire group together) from The Ponds Farmhouse.
If you have fabric scraps laying around looking for a project?
This is the one for you. Look at that sweet heart.
You can see the DIY for this heart pillow made from fabric scraps here.
8. Valentine’s Day Table Setting
This beautiful table was created by my amazingly creative friend Kim from Shiplap and Shells.
She has the most beautiful gardens and she decorates her home in the Pacific Northwest with incredible floral arrangements.
Just look at this table (starting with that vase).
You can see the entire Valentine’s Day Table here.
9. Vintage Card Cloche
My incredible friend Kristin from White Arrows Home created this Valentine’s Day display.
I think anything looks cuter under a cloche and this display is so easy to put together.
All you need is five minutes.
You can see how to create this vintage card cloche and tons of other Valentine’s Day home decor ideas here.
I hope you found a little heart day inspiration here.
And speaking of love did anyone else watch The Gilded Age this week?

That scene at the bazaar was amazing.
No one puts the railroad baron’s wife in the corner. 🙂
