Looking for creative fall craft projects? Oh, good. I have seven projects you can make in under an hour with step-by-step instructions.
Sigh.
This was supposed to be the morning I wowed you with my amazingness.
Seriously.
I had the cutest fall craft to show you. I’m taking these tiny pinecones and transforming a dollar store pumpkin with this pattern and sticks from the yard.
Yesterday the supplies were on the counter.
Everything was ready.
And then?
I thought I’d watch a little bit of Shark Tank and rest my eyes for JUST a minute.
Just a minute, y’all.
Three and a half hours later? I sat up in disbelief. I fell asleep. And not just a little sleep.
A long summer’s nap.
I think I needed it after the emotional rollercoaster of dropping the twins off at college. So in full disclosure. My supplies are still sitting on the counter. I am well rested and today I have some OTHER fun crafts to show you.
Here are seven of my creative fall craft projects you can make instead of napping.
1. These floral pumpkins
One of my favorite fall craft projects.
If you are all about a little blue and white fall with flowers all over? These are the pumpkins for you.
See the entire DIY with step-by-step instructions here.
2. fall craft projects: Wood stick pumpkin
Or what about this wood stick pumpkin?
You can make it with twigs from your yard.
See the entire pumpkin project and step-by-step instructions here.
4. Dollar store pumpkin makeover
Here is one of the easiest pumpkin projects ever.
Wait until you see what I made it from.
See the entire pumpkin project and step-by-step instructions here.
4. Mercury glass pumpkin
I love fall craft projects that look hard but are so easy. This is one of them. Make your own mercury glass pumpkin.
It’s so easy to make.
See the entire mercury glass project and step-by-step instructions here.
5. fall craft projects: hand-stitched tray
Perfect fall decorating idea.
Make your own stitched wooden tray with some of your favorite fall words.
See the entire tray project and step-by-step instructions here.
6. Dried hydrangea wreath
This is really more of a home decor project than one of the fall craft projects. But it’s so easy I wanted to include it. Looking for a super simple wreath idea?
Why not just add dried hydrangea to fluff up an old wreath?
And then add some twigs, too.
7. fall craft projects: DIY pumpkin pillow
This is my number one pinned DIY.
It’s so easy to make and takes five minutes to create this no-sew pillow.
See the entire pillow project and step-by-step instructions here.
PS And one more for the road.
If you like to eat your pumpkins, too.
Here’s this SUPER easy roll idea for the fall.
See the recipe and the how-to here.
PS Make sure you are following me on Instagram. I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes of all the fall decorating starting next week.
You needed the emotional reset time-sounds like a great solution to me! Love all the ideas...thank you for sharing.
So many cute pumpkins! I clicked over to the yarn pumpkin and Lion doesn't carry that yarn anymore. But they carry a jumbo Vel-Luxe yarn in some simply scrumptious shades!!! Thanks for the inspiration! Also, I had been looking for a mercury glass tutorial, so thanks for that link, too.
I just love these easy fall diys. Even though I sew, I love no sew projects that look great, don’t take a lot of time, and use items in a unique way. I was looking for pretty pillow covers for both fall and Christmas when I came across the prettiest table runners at a department store! I cut off each decorated end to make two matching pillows and then use the middle, plain, portion to make pillows that are either plain or decorated in some other way. If the runners are lined, this project is even easier! Just stuff an insert between the front and the lining, tie or Velcro it closed, and voila! Instant pillow! “No-Sew” easy peasy!
Now that is a brilliant idea!
I can not wait to see your post every Wednesday. I’m a caregiver for my mom and seeing your sweet smile and cute ideas help me to find happy things to think about and do. Thank you 😊 Nancy
I am so glad you rested--you needed it!!! Love you!!!
If it makes you feel more normal, I crashed and burned yesterday, too, which I also attribute to tiredness from the whole moving my son to college thing. Not that you should base your normalcy on me, hahaha 😂. We all know that even people as energetic and amazing as you need a little downtime sometimes. Take care of yourself. You are the only you there is!
You needed that nap. It's been a long time since I experienced my sons leaving but I still remember, my thoughts are with you. Thanks for these cute pumpkin ideas.
Oh, yes, you needed that nap. And that's the best kind of sleep. So restorative.
Hope you'll show us your blue and white version, too.
Well, I’m not sure what project on your counter could be cuter than these you shared! They were great reminders of so many creative ideas! And most importantly—-I’m so thankful you napped and had down time from the emotional stress in your life. Perfect.
I am not sure which one to pick as my favorite?? Hmm... I love them all! Naps are good, not to mention important. :)
Bless your heart! I think emtional fatigue is more tiring than physical fatigue in some ways. You needed that rest!! It's a lot to surrender our kids every day! It has increased my prayerlife a hundred fold, but they are is such good hands. 😊 Keep yourself busy, shopping, decorating, creating beauty and joy wherever you go and when needed take that afternoon nap! Thanks for sharing these fun fall crafts. Ive already decorated my entryway and here it is only August! 😊 Thanks for being a sunny spot of inspiration, KariAnne!
So glad you took a great snooze! Always love the ideas that pop out of your sweet brain! Thank you! 😍
Best fall projects EVA!!! xoxo
It doesn't look like that nap affected a thing except to make you feel more rested. You still came up with an amazing post full of inspiration that will keep me busy for the next week!
