These are cranberries waiting to go into my mother’s cranberry bread recipe.

Just in case you were wondering?

It’s even better than it looks. This cranberry bread has been on every Thanksgiving table since I learned about the pilgrims coming over on the Mayflower. Every year she makes extra loaves of bread and freezes some and hands some out to the neighbors and wraps them up and gives them as gifts.

People line up around the block for this bread.

It’s that good.

And now she’s passed the recipe down to me.

I was practicing for Thanksgiving (I need LOTS of practice in the recipe department) and putting together recipes and ideas in the bread and dessert department. That’s my specialty. I went to order the ingredients off the Walmart+ app and all of a sudden a screen popped up to show me how much money I’ve saved using my Walmart+ membership.

Wait until you see this.

Walmart is all about saving customers time and money and I’m here for it.

Look at that.

$175 AND 20 hours.

Hello KariAnne’s wallet. I’m looking at you. And just between us? The 20 hours is even more valuable to me. It’s kind of gold.

You’ve heard me talk about how much I love Walmart+.

I’ve been a member for over a year—since June of 2021. It’s helped me (and my mom) with the free grocery delivery ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.) and mobile scan & go and so many other benefits like the 6 months free Spotify Premium (not available to W+ trial members or Spotify users who have tried Premium) and now it’s helping me save on gas, too. You can save up to 10 cents on every gallon at over 14K stations nationwide (fuel discount varies by location & station, subject to change).

And this year?

It’s saving me time and money getting ready for Thanksgiving so I can make recipes like these.

I bet you are looking forward to Thanksgiving and having your kids home--I suppose this year will be different, now that you have a married son. I'm also thinking about yummy food to prepare for the holiday, although my husband does the bulk of the cooking on that day (yes, I'm aware of how lucky I am!). Such fun recipes you have!

I'm at $1244 and 129 hours saved. WalMart+ has been a great help in our shopping. I have had it since December 2020.

I made the cranberry bread for the first time today. It's wonderful! I did the dump method - adding all ingredients excluding nuts and cranberries at one time and stirring until just mixed. Added the last 2 ingredients, a quick stir and I was done. Literally went together in 10 minutes or less. I have added more cranberries to my shopping list as I'm planning to give this bread as thank you and hostess gifts through the holiday season. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
