Christmas-Home-tour

Welcome to the Christmas Home Tour!

Surprise!

Did you know it was me?

I am so happy that you are here for your next stop on the tour.

A big welcome to everyone visiting from Jen Rizzo and Dear Lillie.

Now this is my very first housewalk…..ever.

And I’ve heard that they are supposed to be wordless.

As in without words.

You know….just beautiful pictures….and more pictures….and a few more pictures…..

…..and not too much talking.

Umm…..have they met me before?

Christmas-Home-tour-butler's-pantry

I’ll try.

I’ll try really hard.

But I’m not making any promises. 🙂

Christmas-Home-tour-hutch

Christmas-Home-tour-jpy

Oh….and one more word before I start the whole wordless thing.

Jen has 21 amazing, incredible houses on this tour.

Truly.

Just wait until you see them all.

Christmas-Home-tour-mantel

And this is only house three.

You’re just getting started.

Christmas-Home-tour-white-trees

Christmas-Home-tour-stockings

And because there are so many houses and the whole tour could get a little overwhelming…..

….we are each supposed to only show about ten pictures.

Christmas-Home-tour-bathroom

Christmas-Home-tour-guest-bathroom

And I’m already on picture nine.

Yikes.

Christmas-Home-tour-guest-bedroom

Christmas-Home-tour-guest-bedroom-blue

And the challenge is…..I’m just getting started.

I’ve just begun to decorate.

You see….we’re all about Christmas here at Thistlewood.

Reindeer and Santa and elves and glitter and stockings and advent and the reason for the season.

It’s a lot to fit into just 10 pictures.

Really.

So at the risk of shamefully exceeding my quota…..here’s a few more for the road.

Shhhh…..

I know you’re busy.

I know you have to run.

You’ve got your own Christmas decorating to do.

But I hope you’ll stop back by later for a few more Christmas ideas and inspiration.

And can we just keep the whole completely not-even-remotely-a-little-bit wordless thing…..

…..just between us. 🙂

Now don’t stop here!

Why not stop by for a visit with the next house on the list:

At the Picket Fence!

I'm glad you stopped at 10+ a few pictures otherwise I would be totally depressed. I'm now officially determined to spend at least one Christmas in a cold climate, trying to decorate in 43 Celsius is just, well, not Christmas.

Awwww, I am sure the pictures are nowhere as good as an actual walk through your home, but this will have to suffice. Wordless? You? bwahahahaha. Well, you did pretty good, so that should count for something right? And 10 pics? Really? Can't wait o see more details. Merry Chrsitmas, Kari. xxoo

Oh I love this post. You are just so darn cute, I just want to reach through my computer and give you a great big virtual hug. Oh, and can we discuss your home for a minute? You know I love it, you know I think it's amazing and want to be your 5th child in my next life, so I can live there too (I'd even settle for being your dog, or cat, or perhaps a house mouse??), but how did you outdo yourself once again with all this Christmas beauty? Good grief, you're one talented lady.

Hi Kari, I thoroughly enjoyed the "wordless" ;) tour of your charming home. I love to read your posts; your funny personality always comes shining through. Everything is gorgeous decked out for Christmas; we love Christmas around here, too. I love, love your master bedroom; it's so spacious, yet still looks cozy and warm. The guest bedroom(?) is darling -- those colors are great. And my favorite is the last picture. Those red and white plates over the pine armoire and the red berry wreaths -- it's just perfect!! Thanks for showing us your wonderful home (I'm glad we got to see more than ten pictures.) Hugs, Denise

Ach, how could they expect you to be *wordless*??? The house is magnificent, and I'm especially jealous of your bedroom, just sayin'... If you come home one day and find a person who doesn't even resemble Goldilocks asleep in your bed, it's me. Don't be alarmed. I've had all my shots, and I don't eat much. :)

I'm always in awe at all your photos. Your home is so lovely and each accessory appears to be chosen with such care and purpose. Just beautiful! I could spend all day on your blog... but then the kids would probably starve, and the laundry would pile up. Ok, I'll use those insomnia hours as Thistlewood time. How about that? ;)

  43. Image for Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality

  45. Image for Karol I. Karol I.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your blog. Your house should be in a magazine or as someone suggested -- in a book. I've subscribed to many blogs but have never gotten a personal email from a blogger. What a sweet surprise! Karol I.

I love your monochromatic colors. It plays with the Christmas colors really well. Makes monochromatic dramatic when used in such wide open spaces and plays the texture up too, which my eye is always drawn too. Just gorgeous! Sherry
