Looking for some easy thrift store furniture makeovers? Here are 11 of my favorite pieces with all the befores and afters.
There are so many great finds at thrift stores just waiting to be transformed. If you are looking for creative furniture makeovers? I have so many fun ideas to share.
The amazing thing about thrift stores?
You never know what you are going to find. Like the time I went into the thrift store looking for mirrors….
…and came out with this.
Isn’t that the way it always works?
Just between us? I couldn’t help myself.
It was on clearance.
I guess no one else saw the beauty in this piece of furniture. I guess no one else opened up the drawers or opened up those beautifully carved doors and saw what was inside. I guess no one else wanted a hutch for the price of dinner.
Good thing.
Because it was waiting for me.
Here’s another before picture and what it looks like now.
Here’s the before.
It’s a little worn and tired and only has three casters on the bottom of it.
But look at that carving.
And look at that potential.
And now?
Here it is in the corner of the craft room.
And the best part?
When you open up the doors?
It looks like this.
I added stick-on cork tiles to the doors to help organize all the stuff and messages in the craft room.
You can see the entire before and after here.
But why stop with this piece when I have so many favorite furniture befores and afters I want to share.
Here are 11 easy furniture makeover ideas you could finish this weekend.

PPS Can you say a prayer for my mother tomorrow? She’s having surgery.
Such beautiful pieces but a lot of hard labor to make them as such. I can state that because I know 1st hand how much effort goes into making it look as beautiful as your pieces. Gorgeous. Thank you for this article. Its inspiring.
Thanks for all the inspiration. Prayers for your mother's surgery
Missed about your mother’s surgery. Prayers being said for her and your family.
I'd hate to follow after you into a thrift shop. You'd find all the good stuff first! I'd hate even worse to go in and OVERLOOK all the good stuff you'll find after me. I keep finding stuff that would be wonderful with some love, but our two-bedroom condo is full. Also, I left my basement workshop at our old house. No place to paint. I'll just have to enjoy watching you create.
Uplifting prayers for all your families…beautiful work you did on these!
Love this so much. Our homes are full of our furniture finds and makeovers.
Love all the before and after ideas. Mothers are so dear to our hearts and I will be praying for her.
Prayers for your family. Do you have a favorite thrift store? I am in McKinney as well
I can’t believe those prices..here in FL everything is much more expensive at our thrift stores.Lucky you!!
It looks so good!! The inside is soooo good!
Wow! I love them ALL!! I could use the coffee table. Very good job. Was watching a pair of wicker chairs for the front porch. But she who snoozes looses.... they were gone when I went back to pick up one of them. That's the way the mop flops.
Prayers for your mother.
Can't decide which is my favorite! Prayers for your mom to have a successful surgery.
I will keep you and your mother in my thoughts. xoxo
