Paint Projects

Paint Projects

Art House

It was an incredible Great Outdoors Party.

There were porches and grills and brick paths and potting benches and all the outdoor inspiration for summer anyone could ever ask for.

And then there were the paint projects.

Paint projects for summer.

Paint projects that will make your heart sing.

Paint projects that will have you running for your nearest paint brush and left-over paint in the garage….to create something beautiful.

Just like Kim from Serendipity who took this….

And created this.

Or Art is Beauty who took this from the dumpster (seriously!)  …..

And made these.

An Anatomy Of A Craft….took these….

….and created this.

Echoes of Laughter took these….

And made these fun planters for summer.

And over at Organized Clutter Queen she needed a place to organize all of this…

So she painted this.

It’s so Summer 2012.

What have you painted for summer?

PS  Take two on the mason jar photo challenge.  At least you can see the hay bales, now 🙂

  2. I loved all the paint projects….I have put at least a dozen ideas from the link party and placed them in my “so ya think you can do this?” folder….

    Great features KariAnne!!!

  3. You had me at paint …

Such super duper features and inspiration and now I’m pulling out my extra paint and brushes and looking for something to paint. I wonder if Ernie the beagle would mind a red stripe down his back ..?

  4. How funny, I just put away the paint brush til later. I have 3 bird houses getting a new paint job, 2 shelves and 1 small cabinet getting a spray paint job. That is just this weeks projects. Ask my husband, there is always a can of paint in the kitchen. It only takes a little while to paint something and then continue on to the next project while it drys. I can’t wait to see how your rug turns out. I am trying not to take on too many NEW projects but finish up ones already started.

  5. tons of fun co-hosting with you my friend! CHEERS to PAINT!!!! : ) sending hugs…

  6. I love these paint projects! Great features! Funny, I haven’t been painting lately. I have painting to do on outside furniture, not fun! I see lots of great inspiration though! I think I have to give the rug a try!

  7. Great features Ms. Thistle.
I currently have a project outside that I sprayed this morning, but it’s for year round not just summer. I do however have a long list of SHOULD paint for summer. Open for bets on how many get done……

  8. I love the green tool organizer. What an awesome springy color!

  9. Great painting projects. I can’t wait until my knee gets to working better so I can get out and do some of my summer paint projects 🙂

  10. Wow, all of these outdoor paint projects are so inspiring! They all look great – I especially like the stacked turquoise & black planters.

I also love your mason jar project (forgot to comment on your previous post). I can see the hay bale! 🙂

  11. Really fun features! I always marvel at the power of paint! I have several paint projects of my own planned for the next few months!

    Thanks for the inspiration today!

  12. This was my big summer paint project but now you’ve inspired me to tackle a few more projects:

  13. It was a GREAT party! I was inspired like never before, and have a long list of outdoor projects to keep me happy for a long time.

  14. Love me summer time fun projects! I adore all of these. It was fun to see them.

  15. Those are some inspirational ideas you shared. Seems like everyone is pulling out their spray paint this summer. It’s such a great way to recycle something you already have and turn it into something better. Your last pic turned out great, btw.

  16. Awesome projects! I wish I could get my act together and remember to photograph the fence I spent about 4 years painting. Not that the fence is nearly as cute as those stacked terracotta planters, but still, it’s something.

  17. Well, I was going gangbusters on the paint for about 2.5 days and nothing was safe: trays, a planter, Adirondack chairs…but now the excitement has worn off and I’m coming to terms with complacency again. 😉 By the way, I LOVE the photo of the Mason jar lantern! Perfect!

  18. Great projects, every one of them! Thanks for hosting, I’ve now got enough projects to last me all summer!

  19. What awesome paint inspiration! I can’t seem to get my act together to finish projects these days… maybe this will help!

  22. great painted projects, thanks so much for sharing:)

  23. You can do so much with paint and it can change stuff so easily without to much fuss and bother unless your small child gets hold of the paint then maybe not as small children will paint anything even the neighbours car nice shade of patchy black………………………lol

  24. Thank you so so much for featuring my turquoise planter! You rock! I love all the other great inspiration too! I have got to find some of those mason jars…
    Have a great week!

  25. I came to see what you are up to today. Thanks for coming to Quirky Vistas, you really are so sweet. Loved hearing from you. I stopped by and already I have an idea of something I should do from checking out your post. I have a clay pot that’s painted to look like a cow (it was from a Chick Fil A employee party of one of my kids) that I was thinking I could do something with. The turquoise painted pot with the black rim gave me some inspiration. Thank you!

  26. I love painting, especially in summer, when you can do it outside in the sun and it dries faster (or is just that the days are longer?)

  27. Love the colors..fresh and summery..great ideas..

  28. Thumbs up on your photo take 2! I can SMELL the bales of hay.

  29. Awesome inspiration! Love the take 2 photo 🙂

  30. I love all the paint projects! I’ve been busy inside with paint, but I need to venture out! 🙂
