Five Delicious Fall Recipes

Have you ever watched Survivor when they have the eat-the-weirdest-thing-you-can-find-on-the-island challenge?

If you’ve ever seen it….you know exactly what I’m talking about.

The castaways start off with something simple like quails eggs and before you know it they are eating something that’s moving.

Could you would you eat something that made your stomach and your eyes roll?  Could you take the challenge for a million dollars?

I couldn’t make it.

Nope.

Not even a little.

I would have to turn in my scarf and wave goodbye to my fellow island mates and hop on the next helicopter to the mainland.

I mean, really.  I like what I eat to be sweet or savory…..

…..and preferably not moving. 🙂

Here’s some fun fall recipes to start your week off with a yum.

  1. No way! No How!! I believe eating should be an experience and adventure — in a good way. Eating something to win a bet or for money — uh, uh!! I would be gone and fast. See, that’s why I’m a horrible candidate for camping. I like my creature comforts and I like a bathroom — preferably a spa and no creepy crawly things right outside where I’m sleeping. Now I’m not a prima dona — I just believe that enjoying the outdoors means you look around, appreciate the scenery, then go out to eat at a 4 star restaurant 🙂

  2. I think I hear those no-bake peanut butter bars calling my name…and those pumpkin rolls are too cute!

The junior high salad bar during 8th grade lunch is as adventurous as I get when it comes to eating among the wild! 🙂

  3. All look really good, especially the no bake peanut butter bars as anything with peanut butter is my favorite. If I were on Survivor, I’d find a way to sneak a few along.

  4. Sorry…..I don’t watch Survivor, and the stupid things they have to do is precisely why I don’t! But then, I don’t particularly care for “reality” based shows, period. And mind you, I use the term “reality” quite loosely.

I do however, enjoy great food and these recipes look scrumptious! Thanks for sharing.

  5. Where are the directions for making a pillow from a reusable shopping bag? When I click on the photo,I justget back to ‘making a pillow out of a reusable shopping bag…And where do you get such cute bags? Ours are so boring? They are the store colors and covered with the store logo-you wouldn’t want them to be pillows on your patio( unless you were an owner and making a profit from free publicity:)

  6. They all look wonderful…but I must say I have loved those most adorable pumpkin rolls…Have a wonderful day Kari!

  7. Yum! I’d eat all of the above for free 🙂

  10. Just as an fyi…the granola recipe almost had me…until it called for Canola Oil…90% of the US manufactured Canola oils are GMO’d… What can we use as a substitute I wonder…???

  11. I am definitely making the pumpkin dinner rolls this Thanksgiving! They are so cute.

  12. Those pumpkin rolls are the cutest thing ever!

  13. Thanks for the reminder of the pumpkin rolls…I am so making those this year! And as far as Survivor goes…I’ll turn in my buff before I eat creepy crawlers…thank you very much! 😉

  14. Nothing that is moving will every cross these lips not even for a million dollars.
Now those peanut butter no bakes are a different story. Seriously they look delicious and will definitely be crossing my lips and the lips of my family members soon. They are even gluten free which makes them even better.
    Thanks for sharing.
